His videos have rubbed me wrong in the past, but he does bring up some very valid points. I like Nintendo, but I don't like the direction they have been taking with their consoles. The Wii and Wii U aren't acceptable to me, as consoles worth being your 1st or 2nd option as a purchase. The hardware is seriously dated and 3rd party support has been abysmal. Even Nintendo's own properties have been getting pretty old; they need to bring out more games that push the envelope.

I don't think anyone can really question Rich's success up to this point. He does do a very good job presenting a hot topic to his viewers and presenting an opinion. In most cases, he digests material he's read online and regurgitates that position in his opinion pieces. Most times he will also give his reasoning as to why he supports a particular viewpoint. I don't always agree with his position but the videos are informative nonetheless.
Zelda has been on the decline since Wind Waker, and even that title felt like a rushed product once you got to the drawn out end. Pikman was a step in the right direction, as was the transition of Metroid from a 2D, to a 3D world. The countless number of Mario and Pokeman titles hasn't been what I'd call reasons to buy Nintendo hardware. Nintendo became what they are today, because they offered games with unique gameplay and experiences, but lately they seem to be relying too much on their heritage, over being the innovative software company they once were.
