It doesn't even exist for the 16-bit generation.

it does
just dont ask how
well just the snes anyway http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2011/0...snes-emulator/
Genesis too with Exodus, WinUAE has a cycle accurate mode so Amiga 500 is another.
I would love to start cataloging this, actually Barone and I are working on adding that to any games we add content to on GP, along with the game data track size for optical disks in Mbits if we can find that info from the disks.
As for Dead or Alive:

I've used it in the past (still occasionally do for Saturn stuff I don't own yet), years ago I couldn't run it as my old PC was missing SSE. This PC I use now is 6 years old, still runs SSF nicely, but it seems with each build I have to hunt down another dll file for it.
I mainly used it to test what games were worth buying (mainly arcade ports and the occasionaly offbeat game).

That's great news.
SSF is a great emulator, i've been using for some time now, and i noticed very few problems with only a few games. A shame that Rayman doesn't work propelly on it yet.
Regarding the accuracy, since i know next to nothing about technology and such, when i play on my CRT Tv looks exactly like the real thing.
Ot's hard as hell to get used to, but it's a damn fine emu. Most of my games run near perfect, except for DBZ Shin; rips from the internet (numerous sources, all different) and even a BIN+CUE copy of my own pyshical disc refuses to play any music.
I only recently got into SSF myself but I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. It's run everything I've thrown at it pretty well even if not perfectly.
The bios switching is annoying but not a huge deal.
I can't get the JP version of Doom to run correctly. All it does is play that music and show the bottom screen.
Doom is one of the few games that never ever worked in SSF.
Revolution X, NBA Live 98, and Die Hard Trilogy are a few others from the top of my head. Croc worked on one version but then got broken after that (apparently that game is buggy on retail consoles too).
And Rayman has broken controls.
PAL titles seemingly have much more bugs as well.
If a game runs with bad audio or bad speed, do note that the emulator runs things at half-speed relative to a real Saturn by the default setting, but you can change those options and get better accuracy. In fact, most games actually run FASTER than they are supposed to be, for ex. Radiant Silvergun has no slowdowns.
