So I bought a super gameboy, and when I played a game, there was a white line that flashes across the very bottom at seemingly random intervals. I Bought a second one, thinking maybe the cart was bad, but the second one does it too. I tried it in my handheld emulator, and it does it too. So its got to be the cart itself. Any idea whats going on?
I dont have a super gameboy but My guess is its perfectly normal and are some computing artifacts the were hidden by traditional CRT TV overscan. The NES has them too. Are you playing on a flat panel tv?
Yes I am. I never even thought of that. It seems like it only does it when the supergameboy accesses the cart. For instance, on pokemon blue, it flashes when i enter a building or go into my party.Quote:

Yeah, that definitely just sounds like video information that would have been cut off on a CRT TV due to overscan. I wouldn't be worried about it, sounds pretty normal.

No I user a crt. I have noticed on my capture card it picks up image ranges that my crt doesn't. With a lot of games on older consoles in these extra image ranges sometimes I get garbled graphics and interesting things showing up, usually I resize the video before uploading it to youtube to cut that stuff off.
