Yes, the clock is ticking...

Eh, all of the tech in these two platforms is old, shrunk down, heavily consumed parts. They even picked processor speeds that are safe for devices much smaller than the PS4 of Xbone. I would bet the Bluray drives have more problems than anything else. The software on the other hand, yeah, all of the consumers are guinea pigs just like all 360 owners were for Windows 8 once blades were replaced by the floating boxes.
In a way it makes sense to be an early adopter though, I mean Sony is infamous for removing shit from their consoles with every release,
PSX had the expansion port on the back, that was removed. PS2 had that front link port, was also removed.
the pstwo removed the HDD expansion bay from the back. the PS3 removed the cardreader in the newer revisions, and they also removed the OtherOS option later on.
Shit we all better buy a PS4, for all we know newer versions will REMOVE THE DISC DRIVE O_O
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to NeoVamp again.
Where do you come up with this shit.
OK guys, you're probably wondering why I haven't posted. Amazon sent me a bricked PS4. Ha fucking ha. But I have another one that works just fine. You're probably wondering how I got a replacement so fast. Here is my story.
The UPS driver dropped off my PS4 at around 2:30pm on November 15th. I had to go out and take care of a few personal things. I came back home at about 6pm. I opened my PS4 and hooked it up to my 37 inch Samsung LED TV in my man cave. I was amped for some next gen gaming. I hooked it up and I got no signal to my TV. I checked all the connections, and everything was kosher. I put in a game, nothing. Just a blue flashing light on the PS4. I was pissed the fuck off! I went to the official PS4 forums and it seems that alot of gamers are experiencing the same thing that I was. After further investigation, it seems as if Amazon.com got a bad batch of PS4 systems. Just look at the reviews in got on Amazon-->http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-4-...DateDescending. And those are just the people that decided to report a bricked system. I'm sure other retailers got bad systems. Made in China never had a truer meaning that a PS4. Forced cheap labor equals cheap products. Don't believe me? Click here!--->http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/1...n_4078704.html Best buy and other retailers dont seem to have as many disgruntled customers that reported a bad PS4.
So I got on the phone with Sony Tech Support and I was on hold for over TWO MOTHERFUCKIN' HOURS and after I finally spoke to a live person, I got disconnected. BOY WAS I PISSED OFF!!! I then went to bed angry, and with my high blood pressure, that's not a good thing.
The next day (today, Nov. 16th) after even more investigating, is seems that if you take your PS4 to an Official Sony Store that handles returns and tech support, they will swap out a new one for you hassle free, provided you have a receipt. So I did my research and discovered that the closest Sony Store that handles returns and tech support is in fucking San Diego! I had to drive damn near 2 hours to fucking San Diego. When I arrived, the staff was very professional and understanding. All I needed was a receipt and the bricked PS4 and they offered a free replacement. They even offered to test the new PS4 before handing it to me and it worked fine. I purchased and extended warranty and insurance just to make sure. Every Sony product I ever owned has been problem free until now. I had 4 red ringed Xbox 360s and a bricked Vectrex when I was a kid.
OK enough of that nightmare, now with the impressions...
I got home and it the new PS4 worked fine. I spent about 3 hours playing with no problems. Killzone is by far the premier next gen game on the PS4. The textures, the lighting, smoke, water, rain effects, are absolutely amazing! The facial animations are lifelike and highly detailed. This is indeed next gen. The new Dual Shock 4 feels and plays like a dream. The most comfortable controller I ever held. It just feels high tech. Buttons are very responsive, and at last the PlayStation has actual triggers. Assassin's Creed Black Flag is another fine example of next gen. Now for a pick up and play shooter, Resogun is simply amazing, think part Robotron and part Defender. I'll have more impressions soon. Picking up NBA 2K tomorrow.
That's all I have for now guys. I'll be over a friends house in the 22nd to join in on an Xbox One launch party. He will have Killer Instinct and Ryse Son of Rome to show off and sample. I'll let you guys know how it went provided he doesnt get a bricked Xbox One, lol.
BTW, a photo of a new addition to my gaming family.

What a story Lan Di glad they got you rshit straightened out. Isn't the PS4 made at the Foxxconn manufacturing plant?
That's a shame about needing to get a replacement. I'm sure Sony will flatten out the creases with an improved product after these launch models. I'd like to try the Dual Shock 4 and Resogun soon.
Nice A/V setup by the way!
There are few things worse than paying a lot of money for something that doesn't work and having to pay time and money to repair it. I tried to help a client earlier this year build an AMD FX series micro ATX PC earlier this year, and for whatever reason, even after RMAing damned near everything, we simply could not get it to POST. I have also tried to save money on PC parts, or repair parts for various electronics by buying them used, only to get the part in and have it not work, or work for a month and then break. Most recently a well priced Crucial SSD died on me after a month, but I have had plenty of other similar issues. It sucks, it wastes time, and while my blood pressure doesn't seem to change my head frequently feels like it will decompress.
Everything should work like my Yamaha Dolby Prologic Tuner from 1993, no troubleshooting, no repairs, lasts forever.
The only Sony products I've ever owned that didn't give me trouble have been my two WEGAs. The radios all had a speaker and CD player fail, my launch PS1 had to be turned over to work, and my first PS3 gave me the YLOD. Needless to say, DOA consoles don't surprise me and further justify my decision to wait at least a year before joining the next gen.
And this is Sony, the more reliable hardware maker of the two big companies. I shudder to think of what the Xbone will be like in terms of build quality.
Is it me or does that PS4 background remind me of OS X Panthers background?
