Rolls off me like water man. I like the dutch. (mostly for their chocolate)

The dutch are literally just a bunch of discarded Canadian bastards from the liberation days following WW2. Our old soldiers saved their asses, bred with their women, and returned to the west to bask in freedom and prosperity without them. They all have a stick up their asses because they missed out on being almost American.
I would have thought a drop in the ocean as compared to most other PAL designated territories.
I've already organized with a store manager at one of the local branches of Makro. They'll be receiving 400 units. He'll be setting one aside for me.Quote:

The PS4 is going to be huge.

OK, here is my review of the Sony PlayStation 4. I've had my PS4 for nearly a week now and I've had a lot of quality time with it. I'll be breaking it up in categories.
The Console Itself.
Next to the Sega Saturn and the Neo Geo AES, this is the most elegant console I've ever encountered. Like those two consoles I just mentioned, the PS4 is a pleasure to look at. Especially if you place it horizontally like the way Sony has marketed it. The fan very quiet when playing games and when using aps like Netflix the console is totally quiet. The PS4 is not heavy but it is solid. The on and off of is touch activated. It's very narrow and very easy to miss in the dark.
The Contoller
Get the Dual Shock 1-3 out of your mind because Sony built the Dual Shock 4 from the ground up. The controller is extremely comfortable and larger that previous dual shocks and hit actually has rubber grips. The buttons are very high quality and at last Sony put triggers on the controller. The touch pad is a nice addition but it remains to be seen if it enhances actual game play. I have yet to use the share button but when the time is right, I guess I'll give it a shot.
The Games and UI
The user interface is very intuitive. Everything is right there ready for usage instead of hunting down features, games, and stuff with the PS3 x-media bar. The PlayStation Store loads super fast and the aps and games can be easily searched for and downloaded. Remote play is an absolute blast to use. I actually played Assassin's Creed on my Vita using remote play in my living room away from my man cave with no lag at all. You can actually play a game and exit out to the UI seamlesly and the gaeme will be paused and still running. The same was possible with PS3/Xbox, but not nearly as fast and easy.
Resogun- An absolute blast to play. Think of it as Robotron meets Defender. The visual particle effects are awesome. The controls are tight and the animation and graphics are simple but very detailed and original. The sound effects are classic arcade type effects and they sound great. The controlls are spot on and not floaty at all.
Killzone Shadowfall- I know not many of you will appreciate an FPS, but this game really shows off the capabilities of the PS4. As I said before, this game is the premiere next gen PS4 game, visually. There's no way the Xbox 360, WiiU or PS3 could pull off graphics like this. Not by a long shot. Gameplay wise it's no Call of Duty or Battlefield by any stretch of the imagination, but it fulfills most of the major FPS principles without a hitch. It holds its own well. The facial animation is amazing. Environments are intricately detailed and well grounded. 1080p/30FPS campaign, 108op/60fps multi-player. Although I prefer 3rd person shooters like Gears of War, and Resident Evil 4, this FPS game is fine for me. As long as it has a scifi theme, I'm good.
Assassins Creed 4- A multi-platform game but it outshines all other versions including the Xbox One 720p version. 1080p on PS4 with a patch. The rain, water effects, shading, texturing, is truly next gen. But its still a multi-platform game that can be enjoyed on current gen.
The Verdict
If you are gaming enthusiast like me and enjoy owning the latest cutting edge gaming console, and playing the best possible version of console games then I recommend you get one now like I did. But as it stands now the PS4 library is sharply limited and doesn't offer much of a variety. Late 2014 and beyond would be a reasonable time for purchase. But the potential is extraordinary. God of War, Uncharted (confirmed), The Last of Us (inevitable), Ratchet and Clank, Demon's Souls (rumored), The Last Guardian, and the list goes on and on.
8/10
Nice review. Concise, yet comprehensive, and devoid of fanboyism. It's good to know about the noise level of the console. I really like my PS3 (I have a slim), but my one complaint is that the fan is too loud when watching Netflix. I don't notice it when gaming, either because I'm more engage or perhaps it doesn't come on as much (which sort've doesn't make sense).
i tried the controller at a GameStop and love the feel. It feels better in my hand than perhaps any controller I've held before. I have never liked he feel of the traditional Sony controller, thinking it feels to small in my hands. I never feel uncomfortable (i.e. my hands don't get tired and I don't get cramps), but it has never felt "nice". I enjoyed the original Xbox "S" controller more. With PS4, they *finally* get it right.
I'm one of those people who's not much on the cutting edge, so if/when I buy a console, it will likely be after the first price drop at the earliest. That said, I'll either get a PS4 or Wii U (for my daughter) in all probability at some point. I swore off MS consoles when they prematurely killed support for the original Xbox and left me high and dry.
Thanks for the rundown.
The only problem I have with your review is that you say the multiplat game you have (AC) looks better than it does on the Xbone... which you don't have.
So kind of showing your favoritism right there. :P
But other than that, a solid review. I've heard the remote play feature is very different according to your wireless setup. Some people have to be sitting line of site with their router to make it playable, and others can basically roam around their house without a problem.
I've also heard the UI can chug loading up icons fast enough at times, but I have a feeling that is going to be dependent upon connection in many cases as well (as it's downloading/refreshing info).
