The no of PS4 consoles that were sold over here?
If that's what you're asking- total local PS4 sales figures have yet to be released.
BTW, I have yet to receive my own system. A bit of a mess up with the store owner I organized it from.
So currently this is me,

I have though spent some time with a PS4 at a friends house.
So far I've found both things to like and dislike.
Dislike:
- I like that the console can do many things for you in the background, but I just wished that you have more control over it, especially for those with slow and limited internet. For example, you cannot pause downloads and I cannot see that you can choose what games to update and what not, if you are interested in only playing certain games online.
- Poor controller battery life and being unable to switch off the LED on the controller.
- The USB charge port on the controller is awkward, I am afraid the cable will get bent when placed on a flat surface while charging.
- Very hard to “unlearn” the start and select buttons.
- Launch games are pretty crap and don't really show what the console can do.
- I was surprised that I was able to find the eject button. Damn is that thing tiny.
Like:
- The feel of the controller itself is great, and the extra speaker is excellent.
- The Store is MUCH faster, thank goodness.
- The new camera is fantastic, never kept the old one plugged in but looks like this one will stay in always.
- The whole system is a lot faster, loading things, running things, it's all slicker too.
Interesting bit of info:
Countdown of the PS4 stock that Amazon had.
It sold as much as 45 per minute at some stage.
All 878 sold in 51 minutes.

Falcom is working on a PS4 game!!

For once I wish a new console would come with a must have game (like fallout 4) I would have enjoyed hunting for a launch console with a reason.
According to Kotaku, Fallout 4 is on the way. I might join the "PC Master Race" and build a new PC for it - I'm enjoying the mods immensely for 3/New Vegas and couldn't imagine playing the game without them. These new "consoles" are glorified Pcs anyway, so why restrict myself.
True dat, it is the superior platform for those kinda games. Not too mention how awesome it would be to play it with the Oculus Rift.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do though, my pc while great for multi tasking does not have the right video cards.
I have 3 screens so back when I went for this setup I had to decide on lower cards because I could not find a higher end card with a triple video out.
but after trying out that free zombie game on Steam I have come to the conclusion that my cards are just.. not good at this stuff.
So right now I'm not sure what to do, invest in a gaming pc to hook up to my 42" plasma tv? or g PS4 and realize that less hassle also means no mods and fixes.
Because I'm sure as shit not gonna sit here behind my desk and play Fallout 4, that shit can last for hours and requires a couch to lounge on.
3.6Ghz FX 8150 3.6Ghz with Gigabyte mATX board and liquid cooling. You would have 3 Times the GigaPower of the PS4Xone!
NeoGaf reply: Nah man, teh exclusives will eventually lure you to buying a PS4 just don't even look at the Xbone or the Fed will know everything about U.
I faced the same dilemma myself, it's just easier in the short run to buy a console and be done with it; but in the long run, you'd be shooting yourself in the foot. No access to Console Commands? Or fan patches? Yeah, no thanks. Betheseda make great games, but let's be honest - they're buggy as hell at times. I like my flexibility.
Personally, I'm building a PC and hooking it up to my telly, along with a PS4/XBONE pad + keyboard 'n mouse - best of both worlds.
Ah many thanks Sheath, that's great. Any case you'd suggest for it? (Or can you buy them with cases?)
I actually would never use a micro ATX board or case. I prefer mid towers and ATX boards. I just saw this in my saved searches and then you posted that you might want to upgrade. I also don't care for MSI much aside from maybe their Video Cards, but everybody else who builds seems to love them. If the price beats the same parts new by enough to justify buying it used it would probably be worth it.
Cooling the FX 8150 3.6Ghz in a mid tower required liquid cooling as well, the stock copper pipe fan cooler is currently having trouble cooling my 3.2Ghz Athlon X2 6400+, but I keep mine in cabinets to reduce dust. On top of a table or desk they would probably be fine. KoolKitty preferred AMDs newer Octal core models over the FX8150 as well, but if the price is right again I find it a fine processor.
Liquid cooling is honestly overkill. I have an FX-8350 and it gets by just fine in a mid-tower with the standard heatsink that came with it. Granted I have two 120mm fans and one 80mm fan in my case to help get more air circulation, but a similar setup should be the norm for anyone putting in decent components.
Well it depends on how those Jaguar cores stack up. We won't really know that until sometime next year when they start becoming available as a consumer cpu.
You do realize that NeoGaf has tons of PC gamers too right? It's not just all Sony fanboys like you want to believe. The truth of the matter is that there are exclusives for those systems that will probably never come to PC. Kingdom Hearts III And Final Fantasy XV are two big ones.
So a mid tower it is then. I'll be stockpiling parts for it in the next few months, would it be okay if I asked you for more advice on it at the time? I mean, it's okay if you say no, you've helped me out enough as it is and I really appreciate it, but you seem to be the most knowledgable one on these forums regarding the subject and I respect your opinion.
