Excellent!
My PS4 is the biggest dust collector that I own...
Well, I waited till Nov 17th to jump on the PS4 battlefront bundle bandwagon. What a fucking disappointment. Neither version is 1TB. And to add insult to injury, the fucking game itself looks like the kind I will never EVER play; seeing how it has zero single campaign playability. I am playing Killzone 3 right now. Go fuck yourself Star Wars battlefront. :P
Is it only 500GB like the regular one? C'mon, Sony! 1TB hard drives aren't that much more expensive. On newegg I see a 2.5" 500GB western digital drive for $43, and the same thing but 750GB for $49, or 1TB for $61. At least it's pretty straightforward to upgrade the drives yourself.
Battlefront wasn't really that great anyway. I played the free BETA on PC. It looked pretty good and ran well on my mid range PC, but it really didn't seem the the final release is going to have enough content for a $60 game. I had fun, but not enough to want to buy it for full price.
So, for someone that has a rig that can play pretty much any new game and an Xbox One? Could someone be nice and give me a few reasons as to why I should buy a PS4?
I hate Uncharted, so not that.
The games I am interested in for either console is Mortal Kombat and... Mortal Kombat. That list wasn't long. Have a decent enough PC to handle anything that's coming out for the next 3-5 years.
The reasons to buy a PS4 is because Xbox is a POS.
Even though they changed their drm policy it's too late they stated their motives and what they'd like. On top of that I had so many failure problems with launch Xbox 360 even past their extended warranty. And the main reason PlayStation seems to always get the better exclusives. So like TC stated Microsoft can fuck off.
I really don't see a reason to own either console. I suppose once the FF7 remake comes out or Shenmue 3. But if they appear on PC, what's the point...
If you already have a decent enough PC to run the current gen games. There really isn't any point in getting a PS4. Not a decent enough list of exclusives to make it worth it. But for me anyways, I love my Wii U and LOVE the off-screen gamepad play. So when I finally figured out that Wii U wasn't getting Mortal Kombat X or DOOM or Battlefront for that matter, and found out a way to semi-recreate that off-screen gamepad with remote play. THAT was when I bought a PS4. And then bought me cheap android tablet & controller mount (to use a real PS4 Controller) so I could have my remote play. I wish there was just a way to hack the Wii U gamepad to work with PS4, but I know that's basically impossible (at least right now)
I have joined the PC club myself. I don't care about the brand loyalty game people play and when I can hook up a PC to my TV so easily these days I don't really get the point of consoles anymore. Everything I want appears on PC and if something doesn't, who cares? I have enough games to play.
Consoles and their fans can keep brawling while I ignore all the noise and just play video games.
