Sorry, but these games to me are more than enough reason to own a Wii U:

Namco's System 22 was SUPERIOR in design and 3D capabilities to SEGA's Model 1 board. Which is why Namco implemented its engine onto PS1.

And Trekkies, VF came out in 1993 not 1994. VF2, Daytona USA and Virtua Cop came out in 1994. Model 1 was scrapped by AOU 1994.
So your recollection is incorrect and I totally disagree, Model 1 was inferior to anything else available at the time for high end Arcade machines. Thank God SEGA junked it for Model 2 which blew the world away in 3D and visual graphics in 1994.
I didn't say Virtua Fighter came out in 1994. I said Model 2 got it's full release in 1994. Learn to read.
Please show an arcade board in 1992 that could do what Model 1 did as well as Model 1 did it. System 22 came out after Model 1 in 1993, and System 21 while nice wasn't quite as powerful as Model 1.
I am fairly confident that the Saturn is more capable of texture mapped gouraud shaded 3D than the Model 1 is. Anyway, I think comparing System 21 to Model 1 is much more fair than comparing System 22, System 11 or Model 2 to Model 1. Where do you people come up with these comparisons anyway?

Except System 21 beat the Model 1 to the market by a year. By 1993, Namco had already introduced System 22 and its newest competitor was Model 1. Sega learned pretty quickly to never EVER let the competition amusement-wise have the upper hand.
And as for Saturn? Of course its better at texturing and gourad shading than Model 1. After all, its capable of 500,000 polygons and 200,000 texture mapped polygons/geometrics.
