I personally prefer SA1 over SA2. But that's just me. As for the data left on the ISO, I assume that the Auto-Demo was rushed to get it to retailers and whatever Sonic Team had at that moment was included(The two test levels, Beta Windy Valley, Beta "At Dawn" and the lost Chao Garden.).
Ah, thanks.
My most wanted prototype is the Sonic 1 Beta.

These next two images were discovered within the last year IIRC:

What's neat about that image is that we now know that there were enemies in the Beta. Also, the enemy shown looks just like the purple Badnik shown here:

The Japanese text translates to "Debut Approaching".
Discusses many Sonic prototypes and Sega in general around those times. It's a good read, from no Sonic on Saturn not being nail in coffin to Sonic Xtreme 32 X not really having any effort in it besides plans and the cartoon based MD Sonic and more. http://info.sonicretro.org/Mike_Wall...June_19,_2007)
Now that is sexy. There's some great looking prototype hardware out there. Of course playing one of these sexy machines would rule:

How about that cancelled castlevania 32x game? It would have been like...the last classic style castlevania....Drakon want!

That's pretty damn cool. It looks like Eggman was possibly just a minor enemy or at least stage boss in that concept art with a darker threat looming in the background. Also neat to see they weren't having Sonic battle robots at first.
I think most of us would drown a sack full of kittens for a Neptune.

They are essentially different games, one does not outdo the other. Adventure 1 is 15-30FPS but has a lot more going on, Adventure 2 is 60FPS but spends a lot of time in narrow on rails sections. I like them both quite a bit and wish more Adventure Platformers took their approach.
There wasn't a Samsung beat'em up developed for the MD, with some nice looking screenshots in some very old magazine???
You mean City Heroes?
