Wow, that Castlevania game would have been BEAUTIFUL.

Castlevania, SSF2T, others - 32 X buyers got fucked.
I'd love some Nights, Burning Rangers, and Sonic Adventure Protos on Saturn and Dreamcast...
Sonic 2.
Sonic Adventure/Sonic PRG Saturn Prototype.
Shenmue Saturn.
Half-Life Dreamcast.
Shenmue II(US)
Sonic Mars.
Not to be a PINGAS, but it looks like those screenshots might be fake if I remember correctly the only things that were released to the public were those 3 sprites. I can see the backgrounds to CV: Chi no Rondo in screen 1,3,6. CV Dawn of Sorrow on screen 2. CV IV in screen 5. What I believe is CV: SoTN in screen 3. Another issue is that the scoreboard is ripped directly from CV IV, however we do know that plans to finish it were existent so we might see a proto-ROM some time in the future.
The screenshots are fake. There were only two reported screenshots of the game and nobody has ever legitimately recovered them. It wouldn't have been hard for somebody to whip up a custom sprite sheet of the guy in red because he was just a modified Rondo of Blood Richter sprite to begin with.
Sprites of Richter, Maria and the unnamed rival character in red are the only things we've ever seen from the canned game.
It could've been amazing though as a lot of the team working on that game went on to do Symphony of the Night which was announced after the 32X Castlevania was cancelled.
Fake or not, those screens give you a depressing taste of what might have been. It would've changed history as the sequel to Rondo of Blood. There may not have been a Symphony of the Night.
Could you imagine a world where this game took SotN's place? Crazy!
Since I've beaten the Genesis game Warrior of Rome and its (far superior) sequel, I'd like to at least see what Warrior of Rome III is like. It was scheduled for release on the SNES, and there's box art, but I'm not sure if it was completed.
There's also some nonsense floating around about a super-limited JP release of the game, which is 100% fiction as far as I can tell.
Zero Racers (Virtual Boy) - I don't know if the proto exists or not, but I'm going to guess that someone out there has it, they're just not talking... I want this game more than any other unreleased game, though. I mean, it's a futuristic racing game on the Virtual Boy, with Red Alarm-esque graphics! I have wanted this game ever since it was first shown, and I still do. Hopefully it happens some day. :(
Mini Racers (N64) - This game was finished, but Nintendo decided to not bother ever releasing it. Cruel. It's a fun-looking overhead racing game. The proto exists, but has not been released to the public.
that underwater RTS game I always forget the name of (N64) - It looked cool! I think that the only thing that exists is a beta or demo, but still, it'd be really cool to see.
Also I agree with the OP about Twelve Tales, Dragon Hopper, and Dead Phoenix. That long gameplay video of Twelve Tales that exists was pretty cool, I want to play that version of the game!
Soul Reaver 2 proto on PS1, and the cancelled Dreamcast port.
nothing special
i'd like to see the proto's of spyro and resident evil 4 before it sucked ass
As far as the alleged 32X prototypes go, how many of those do you think even reached development? They were, and are just names on a list. Especially concerning Japanese devs like Capcom (SSFIIT, Darkstalkers), who likely never had anything in development for 32X and jumped to Saturn instead.
Back on-topic, I'd still like to play "X-Women" (Genesis) in the flesh. I wonder just what the hell happened to this game that caused it to be figuratively swallowed whole by the earth, even X-Men 32X surfaced after awhile!
