wasnt sure if this warranted a new thread or if i should dig up one of the E3 threads or not

personally other then crimson dragons obvious connections to a certain dragon series none of these titles appeal to me much
but if you like sports
rail shooters
fps games
and or zombie games you are well catered with the xbox one
the graphics certainly look nice

...yeah other then that i got nothing i doubt im the only one who feels like that

and instead of the much publicised and hated drm shenanigans kinect privacy woes and microsoft's abysmal PR
lets just talk about the machine and the games on display ( if possible )

i mean it was released in 2001 in the usa and in early 2002 in japan and europe
around the same time as the cube

Too late to truly give the PS2 competition, much like the GC. They were both late.

would that year really have made all that difference ?
the ps 2 wasnt cheap
the first year launch was abysmal
and the machine didnt really started to go untill the release of gta 3

It does, the mega drive wouldn't have done nearly as well if it had come out at the same time as the SNES, the N64 would have done a lot better if it had come out at the same time as the PS1, etc.. Of course, it's only one of many aspects, but if you don't show you're better than the "leader" before it gets entrenched in the market, you're doomed.

I don't think it would have helped MS however. They were coming in new, whereas Sony was coming in off the PSX.
It certainly may have helped Nintendo however.

I think MS came in at the time they needed to and accomplished exactly what they wanted. The oXbox was a pretty good system, it got their name out, and established them as a player. In every way it set them up for the 360 where they had a much better showing.

I just don't think they could have released a system with the price/specs of the oXbox much sooner.

In regards tot he Xbone. I am certainly looking forward to seeing what is coming as launch gets closer. There is nothing on any of the new consoles that screams "buy me buy me!" yet... so I'm sitting back and watching what exclusives come to both. I expect to have at least one of them within a year or so... I just don't know which one yet.

I gotta say tho, the HDMI in thing is something I didn't expect, and provided it doesn't cause any handshake issues I will certainly be looking forward to playing around to see just how well that feature works.

Even if I don't get an Xbone, I really hope Crimson Dragon does well. We need more games of that style. Bring back Crimson Skies while you're at it microsoft. Sony should strike a deal with the Oculus Rift guys, if they do they'll win this gen and the next.

I'd love to play Crimson Dragon, but I refuse to buy an Xbox One just for that game. The game runs at 30fps using Unreal Engine 3, there's no reason why it can't be released on current generation systems.

I can't believe Plane Crazy and Propeller Arena haven't ever seen a re-release. Why are these companies so inept at leveraging their own IP?

cause they want to play it save and cheap
