Does anybody else think that the US got the short end of the stick with Sega?

Now I am not going to get into the SMS but looking at the Genesis, 32X, Saturn and DC it seems like Europe got a shit ton of games that we never got.

(Granted these games were releases on the Sega Channel but I wouldn't even count that.)

Im pretty sure there a few DC games that I missed but the fact that a Hockey game was the last official DC is absurd.

Also for Saturn Shinobi X is pretty special compared to the other region versions for the soundtrack alone. All in all I wish I grew up in the UK if for no other reason than having the possibility of knowing other people who remember Sega consoles in a positive light around today.

Head Hunter was the other one I couldn't remember Evil Twin not quiet sure what that one was.

The reverse could be said for us as well. You guys got a shit tonne of games that never made it our way.

Evil Twin is an unremarkable 3D Platformer, maybe just 2.5D I'm not sure. It was a big deal back in the day for being so late in the DC's life and not being brought out in the States. I think it might have a version on the PS2 also.

I don't think that it's so much fans getting the short end of the stick from Sega as the other way around. The stronger fanbase (might have) got a few more titles.

It's a fully 3D game. Its dark art style/theme was the draw at the time.

With the Saturn and Dreamcast, of course.

10 games is not exactly a huge list

europe tended to be marginalised in the 80's and 90's especially by nintendo

Europe also got the Parodius Deluxe Pack and Megaman X3 for the Saturn. Though the US got Magic Knight Rayearth, Albert Odyssey, Iron Storm, Megaman 8, Megaman X4, SCUD Disposable Assassin, etc.

I think in the grand scheme of things we got the better deal, but it would have been nice if we also got Megaman X3, Parodius, Wipeout 2049, Deep Fear, Keio Flying Squadron 2, and King of Fighters 95.

not even france which was a huge anime market at the time ( still is )

Sega of America has always had shitty management. So of course, America got the short end of the stick.

Think about all the missed opportunities with Saturn especially when in 1997 SOA had the chance to turn things around.
