No, not with Dreamcast. SOJ killed the system not America. SOA actually wanted to keep going.
If I remember correctly Europe has always been a pretty strong point for Sega sales wise. Even to this day, 2 of their most profitable devs are centered in the EU.
i always felt that it was sony who was the first not to treat europe as an after thought ( this may be wrong it just feels like that to me )
the others especially nintendo tended to disregard europe
Didn't Saturn do modestly in Europe? I've seen alot of Euro ads. "The Game Is Never Over" sounds very solid for a marketing plug.
Dreamcast of course was a huge hit in Europe. Remember, DC only flopped in Japan.
It's sad that European Sega fans mostly UK have lost all faith in Sega as a company. Blame it on that shit for brains, Mike Hayes. It makes perfect since why Tsurumi fired him last year. He labeled Sega as a strong software publisher but threw SOA completely under the bus.
Sega fans in the UK are absolutely rabidly supportive last time I checked. The last time I personally remember them being angry at sega for anything was when they sold Sega Racing Studio to Codemasters, effectively ending Sega's development of Sega Rally for Home consoles.
No it was pretty much all Love.
Total War and Football manager are enough of a combo to replace the favored Racing game. It was a painful loss, but they got more than what they asked for in return.
Yeah, same with nintendo giving us a nes without the ability to have carts with upgraded audio.
I dunno. I think the best thing about the UK Sega scene was the love for the SMS. I was the only kid in my neighborhood who had a Master System, and, while I never regretted it, it would have blown my 9 year old mind to know what a big deal it was elsewhere.
they do
i have almost the whole run complete and they are certainly one fo the best magazines ive ever read
replete with sneering sarcastic replies to the letters ( which are the best part ) as well as brimming with quality
wish people still made maagazines like that which were unashamedly biased and had the quality to back it up
I got MKR when it first came out and it's an average game at best. I heard really bad things about Albert Odyssey and I was curious about Scud not sure how much it goes these days.
I am also amazed how shitty US customers got treated with the DC even though it bombed in Japan. It was breaking records over here at one point in time.
Albert Odyssey and MKR aren't game of the year material by any means, but they are good solid RPGs for the system.
