Where to get the music from the soon-to-be dead Wii Channels (check mii out, etc)

Hey gang!

Three days from now, Check Mii Out, Everybody Votes, News, and Weather channels on the Wii are going inactive. As one of probably only 50 people who actually spent any real time on those channels, I want to be able to capture at least the music from them so I can still hear them after the channels go off-line. It's very slim pickin's out there. Either the music has sound effects over it, and/or the sound quality is real poor, and/or the clips are less than loop length...or they're just not out there.

With so little time left, I think to say "I'm desperate to get my hands on these" might be going a little far...but only a little. Let's call it a high priority for me. :-)

Does anybody have any ideas of resources I can check out, websites, perhaps something downloadable...or whatever. Any help would be awesome!

How hard would it be to attach the Wii to a PC capture card (or even your sound card in this case) and press record?

I was actually hoping I could find out how to delete those channels to declutter my Wii menu. If you want I could try recording those channels. What all did you want from them? Detailed explanation preferred.

Oh, getting the Wii outputting into garageband would be a cinch. But the problem is, I won't be recording just the music, but any sound that comes out of the Wii, which includes a host of sound effects. Don't get me wrong, if a better solution doesn't avail itself, that's what I'll resort to. But I'm hoping to find someone has rips of just the music, and then I can put that through garage band, and crank out MP3s that way.

Anybody know where to look?

If you have a softmodded Wii, you can use WAD Manager's uninstall function... provided you also have WADs of the respective channels in their respective region. I've yet to try it, though, so maybe it's differently.

I didn't know anyone made WAD files for the built in channels. I should probably look into that.

built in channels are still wads, they are just normally locked in an unmodded wii.

Can't you move them to the SD card on your unmodded wii? I remember moving some channel wads to the SD card to clear up space,
but I did that after softmodding my wii, so I don't know if that's possible on an unmodded wii.

I could try moving them to SD. The Wii I wanted to get rid of the channels on has the Homebrew channel installed. I have a second one that is unmodded.

I don't think you can, since neither the Weather or News Channels appear on the Channels menu on the data manager on the Wii's settings.
