I'm pretty sure you mean Godzilla's Revenge/All Monsters Attack. The one with the narcoleptic kid who talks to Minya as they watch stock footage from other crappy Godzilla movies? Anyway, in that case, I would agree. Godzilla's Revenge is a fantastical slab of shit. Even as a kid I though it sucked.Quote:

"Godzilla: Mothra and King Ghidorah Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" is a serious movie. They show pilots dying when he swats planes, and there is a heavy emphasis on his return is because of all the lives lost in the Pacific War.
It threw me off because it was released during in between some "Millennium" movies, and I was expecting the tone to be similar. Plus the suit design was different. Also King Ghidorah is a protector.

The result of that is a "smaller" King Ghidorah who's a "good guy." I just cant get past that. The director specifically wanted Godzilla's opponents to be weaker to show that Godzilla ia the strongest. Took away Baragon's heat ray intentionally and also some of Mothra's attacks. Im not down with that because I think in Godzilla movies the goal is to try to give him the most menacing and serious threats/enemies possible.Quote:

I've always hated the implication that he is in any way a friend to humans. He's a walking natural disaster.
He'll beat up whatever monster rolls into Tokyo, but he's gonna make Tokyo look like Detroit simply because he can.
