These are both the best games on there own respective system's gears of war is the game on xbox360 exclusive just for 360 owners and Resistance fall of man is the playstation 3 exclusive title for ps3 best games out right now for the to consoles only question is which is better?:)

VF5 is the best game on PS3 right now (even if it won't remain exclusive).
So since Resistance can't be counted . . . I vote for Gears.
I played resistance for about 90 minutes.
Not a bad game, but it doesn't really do anything new and/or exciting with the genre.
It does it's job at about PAR (at default difficulty) as far as the genre goes.
The only things that stand out are the decent 2ndaries for every weapon, and the storyline.
Otherwise, it's quite bland and predictable (and at times. . .tedious).
I vote for E.T. on the Atari 2600.
Zebbe you need to play some more Atari games. There are many games worse like Swordquest: Fireworld, any Mythicon titile, any title from the controversial Mystique company, Ssssssnake, etc.
But this is a poll for the BEST game, not the worst game!
Resistance fall of man is not in the same class as gears of war the reson Resistance fall of man was any good was all of the other PS3 games at the time sucked ass all the ps3 owners where like well this is the only game thats 1/2 good i think i will buy this now PS3 finnly has a game that is worth buying the system for VF5
I personally own a xbox360 so i would say gears of war is better.

Well, I feel both are great games, and as you may know they are both very over hyped (which is to be expected). Gears, while great and in some aspects revolutionary, was short, had a shortage of weapons, play modes, and ... everything, the previously mentioned dialog leaves more to be desired as well (seriously, who says "nincompoop"?). FoM is a great example of a reason to own a Playstation 3, it's not anything that will blow your mind or anything (well, the graphics will, but thats besides the point). In the end, their both great, but not the best on either console.
