i noticed that there are no more psvitas in toy stores which are the biggest in dutch and belgium.

all they do sell is the games for very cheap, but thats ofcourse because they need to lose those games.
is this also the case in america and asia and arabian peninula and africa?
europe is 3ds all the way
but isnt this a bad sign for things to come? thats how sega saturn was i remember
Vita looks to be a total flop. Still unsure why anyone goes against Nintendo in the handheld market. I think the only reason the original PSP sold so well was because it was used as a hack device to emulate games for everything else and play movies.
That being said, I still loved the Game Gear growing up.

I walked past large Vita sections in both the Carrefour Planet and Media Markt not even two hours ago.
Anyway... Toy store aren't selling high end portable game systems to customers in different product demographics?

if the toy stores dont do it no mo which are basically the foundation for the kids. then what will come of vita in the future(if there is a future)
The Vita has been the definition of a flop. The console has been on the market for well over a year yet the anemic library and minimal sales do not show signs of improving.
Much like the Wii U the Vita receives the very same treatment from retailers in that it is thrown in with the PSP instead of being separated to show it is a different system. It appears to be a mere afterthought.
When your tablet or smartphone plays cheap games and offers more functionality what's the point of a vita? I've had the PSP for a while and never managed to finish any of its games.

Where I live, the Vita has complete gone from the supermarkets (ASDA is selling off consoles/games that aren't PS360 or 3DS and Sainsburys, Morrisons never sold it and no clue on Tesco) and Grainger Games. The former is understandable but a speciallist game retalier?
Only places that still sell it (excluding online places such as Amazon) are Argos, Game and HMV. Game and HMV are overpriced with both having a few reasonable offers at the most (there was a time when Virtua Tennis 4 was a high seller and only because that was £5), plus were at administration in the past (Game in 2012 during the Vita launch, HMV this year).
It's not a flop but like the Weeyooo it's not selling enough to warrant games with big budgets, that make use of the system's strengths. Killzone on Vita seems to be the only game utilising the unique features of the portable in the pipeline.Quote:

We've discussed this before; that extra $50 would make a difference in sales. It sure gave the system a boost in Japan. If Sony doesn't drop the system to $199 soon, they will loose any chance of gaining traction.Quote:

i think it would be better if they brough out more games. personally i think its a big gamble

Any news on homebrew? I imagine even with the added CPU power the Vita won't be able to handle Dreamcast or Jaguar or even large MAME games, unless dynarec can be enabled and some serious development is done for it. At least the PSP is useful for that kind of purpose.
