Is the PAL version any different than the USA version? I have the US version, but I recall hearing there where a few differences - I know the remixed music is not included.
Just wondering, as it's a lot cheaper than the US version, so there must be a catch some where.
I don't think Sega Ages started until the Saturn. Are you talking about the Sega Classics Collection?
I avoid PAL like the plague since they run at their own special speed and stuff.
I was talking about the Saturn one. You know, the one with three games... it was released in Europe also. But it is a LOT cheaper over there. And I read it was different in some way.
It's probably slower since they have their own special speed.
The US version doesn't have any remixed music that I know of.
I went the pricey route and got the Japan games individually.
Yeah it cost more, but its "Afterburner", "Space Harrier" and "Outrun" we are talking about here.
Columns Collection is pretty cool too.

As far as I know, SEGA AGES vol. 1 is identical to the American version. Better box art, though :)

I've noticed that the games are PAL-optimised, however; Space Harrier on the 32X plays ever so slightly slower than the Saturn SEGA AGES version. The part where you speed up on the forth level - the one with the flying mushroom things - is terrifying!Quote:

The trick where you hold A & C and press Start is also present in OutRun and Space Harrier, but not After Burner.
Oh, well I won't pick it up then. I thought it was different, I dunno, because it was cheaper. The US version still common online and such, but pretty damned expensive, because it was a Working Designs release, and it had lame fancy artwork.
I got it for a song... but I kind of wished I got Panzer Dragoon 2 Zwei instead, because it was the same price, and now it's expensive. and I could have gotten Sega Ages new from Working Designs when I bought the game almost three years ago.
I'd like to get the individual After Burner 2, and Outrun Discs, because I love the two games. Space Harrier... not so much. I'd still keep Sega Ages tho.
I love the remixed "Outrun" music.
Worth it just for those.
