I've only bothered with Hard Corps, so it gets my vote.
the only contra game on the list that ive ever played is the original arcade version, so I voted for that. I do want to try hard corps for genesis eventually though.
(Speaking in a cheesy super-hero voice, accompanied by cheesy super-hero fanfare) I did.Quote:

scrap the master in any sin i will never call anyone a master.
Has anybody else played Shattered Soldier?
I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I think it's better than the 8/16 bit Contras. It's just friggin awesome. Definitely worth the $15 they charge at Gamestop.
Hard Corps. is easily my second fave, though. Contra III's top down "mode 7" levels were aweful IMO.
Kinda sounds like a Zero Wing quote :DQuote:

I dont know about being better than the originals. It rips off levels from all of the games. I dont think it can stand up to the older games though, but its not bad. They should have ended it there with the ps2 contras, its definetely the best of the ps2 ones.Quote:

cant go wrong with the original, thats my favorite for nostalgic reasons but hard corps runs a close second, followed closely by super c(one of the most underrated games ever)
