I'm all for a "second opinion" feature where you vote for a score on any game that has been reviewed and it is displayed in the sidebar or w/e after 5 votes or so. Like the "you say" on gamespot?
Then maybe you'd have to post in the review discuss thread at the same time or have posted at least 10 times in the forum for it to work.
Obviously there's the problem with people having different views on what is an average score (I'd say 5/10, but most people seem to think it's 7/10) and which parts of a game are more important for the final score than others.. but sometimes the reviews on this site are so outta whack to me that I'd prefer to see an average, user-based score as an alternative.
You can't really argue that this isn't the way we define most things in the world, at least in the western, democratic societies of today.
I strongly disagree about your opinions on the numerical score system. The score is supposed to represent everything said in the review, just as the review is supposed to back up the score with the arguments contained within. If done right the scoring is just as important and valid as any other part of the review.Quote:

On a side note I'd also like to have a link from the review to the discussion thread of each game, which I've asked for like 3 times now :)
