Nintendo: We have failed to establish Wii U as a "worthy" Wii successor

A hacked console running Gamecube ISOs isnt backwards compatible with the Gamecube since Nintendo can't really advertise or capitalize on that point.

It can be done, with hacks and console modifications most the audience are unaware about or don't know how to do, and even then you can't use real Gamecube controllers (I imagine) and are therefore missing out on the analog triggers which could easily kill the playability of certain games.

Hacking DOES NOT equal backwards compatibility

Do you have to hack an original Wii to play gamecube games?
Do you have to hack a PS2 to play PS1 games?
Do you have to hack a 3DS to play DS games?
Do you have to have a DS to play GBA games?

The answer to all these questions is "NO"

Just because a system CAN be hacked to play other games does not mean it is backwards compatible with those games.
As Electricgroove said and original Xbox can be hacked to play all kinds of systems (NES, SNES, genesis, atari 2600/5200/7800) you never answered his question, does that mean the original Xbox is backwards compatible with all those systems?

None of the Wii's controllers had analog triggers either.

I'd bet the reason for no Gamecube compatibility is just that they don't want to include the legacy controller ports and memory card slots they deem necessary to call it compatible (note that they were removed in later Wii versions). This is a company that won't even include an Ethernet port on their consoles, for crying out loud.

They may just want to produce more remastered versions of GC titles anyway. That has to be more lucrative than allowing for compatibility of games long taken off the market.

To be fair Nintendo hated the fact that the Wii had a controller in the first place, but even then to play Gamecube games you just used the Gamecube controller ports on Wii.

I fought in the ring a number of times(7-8 years ago) and I was never in street fights or any sort of bullshit like that that requires no skill but I still train every week. aggressive guys like you I could only laugh about and would take them down in the ring in mere seconds. also I'm sure you did muay thai because that is typical for aggressive people who thinks it's all flash to fight but in the end can't hold a candle to an mma guy in a real or mma fight. pls don't talk so tough anymore because how do you know who you are talking to? didnt you ever learn when fighting to always shut up and never start any fight with anyone, especially those you don't know?
