That squid ink shooter game looks awesome.
Nintendo absolutely killed it this e3
Devil's Third

They are doing it right fo sho. And guess what nin is just 2nd in hardware sales almost defeating ps4. And oh no psvita didnt get support what so ever. Peeps have this ackward feeling. Ps4 had a great launch and all that. But i wanna see how ittl be done in the future my guess is
1. Ps4 or wiiu
2. Ps4 or wiiu
3 xbone
Command was shit. They'd do well to ignore it.
I know it won't happen since SF64 is ridiculously popular (not that I don't like it, I just prefer the original and the cancelled 2), but I'd like a return to the original game's tone and music. I'd like more abstract designs, and the classic Star Fox theme and music style (the original Star Fox's soundtrack is the only one I really enjoy. Very catchy and memorable tracks).
It also sounds like the Arwing transformation from Star Fox 2 is making a return/official debut. That's awesome. I hope we don't get on foot missions, and use the walker/tank mode for ground/base exploration.
Devil's Third on Wii U was a master move. Nintendo was desperately in need of a heavy third party game and Itagaki was desperately in need of someone to publish his game.
Not sure if this was mentioned earlier, but Bayonetta 1 is being included with Bayonetta 2:
http://bayonetta2.nintendo.com/bayonetta.html
Features:
60fps
Choice of Japanese or English voice acting and subtitles
Nintendo References
New Gamepad controls
Off TV Play
Devil's Third definitely looks cool. Captain Toad looked neat also, especially if they focus on puzzles like I'm expecting it too.
Command was good for what it was, a mobile SF. The DS couldn't have pulled off much better. I never really liked the original SF, probably because I played 64 first. 64 felt much deeper while SF felt more like a tech demo.
Assault was fun (especially multiplayer), but the on foot missions were grinding. I'm excited for Star Fox U.
^ im apprehensive
hoping for the best expecting the worst
The U is almost two years old. How many people here who play new games actually have one?
The more Nintendo does nothing, the more the U feels like the second coming of Saturn.
That analogy would make more sense if Nintendo never released a proper 3D Mario platforming game (64, Sunshine, Galaxy etc), instead just a racing game, compilation and spinoff.
Thing is, the Wii U still has some decent support from Nintendo, even if it has been slow. The Saturn hardly had anything from Sega. The lack of Sonic was way more important back then too, 1995 was still during the furry mascot years, both Nintendo and Sony still needed mascots for their consoles. The jester from NiGHTS was a bad idea, same with the Virtua Fighter cast.
^ still feels more like the n64 to me
a dearth of third party software intermingeld with long long droughts of the only worth while title to buy ie first party titles
and a lone third party title tossed up once ina while
I understand the appeal with the Wii..I had one (but sold it, I kind regret it though). But for the Wii U....lack of good games, and I still don't get how the built-in screen in the controller is useful. I never play multiplayer games and even if I were, not sure it justifies to buy a system only for that. A game yes, a system not sure.....the controller looks huge and one steap ahead in the futur lol but again, not sure what went throught Nintendo's mind, a Wii 2 with a more efficient controller would have been great...
Also, I am sure Bayonetta is a great game, but not all Wii U owners or potential owners are into this game (unlike say Mario Karts).
I disagree. In the amount of time that the Wii U has been around in NA, the Saturn had these for first-party releases:Quote:

I might have missed a game or two but I don't think you can say the Saturn had less first-party support than the Wii U.
Who said I wasn't calm? I would love to see the Wii U (or any system) surpass the Saturn. More great games are always welcome.
Nintendo is on a much better track after this E3, but they are still in the position where 3rd parties are going to be sparse on the system unless Nintendo makes some serious moves to get support from them (and not half assed support).
Will it change their standing in the long run? Who knows, probably not, but I think it might help them reach a healthier sales base if they can keep on it.
I must admit, Nintendo had a good showing at E3. But I'm not convinced that will change the Wii U's fortunes. I keep thinking back to Sega in 2000. That was possibly the best E3 lineup ever, yet that only did so much.
But unlike Sega, Nintendo at least isn't in a financial pit. I think had Sega not been bogged down in the financials they could have gone on to really change their sales... but they just had nothing left to run on.
Now that doesn't mean Nintendo WILL do it... which is why I added the "if they keep it up". If they go silent and do NOTHING else but work to release the games shown... well, then they aren't going to change much other than be a sales blip around a few major releases.
But the MK8 + E3 showing gave wii u owners a really anticipated and well received game + an awesome showing of some games coming up soon. That's a great way to start things off and build up a lot of momentum into this years holiday season. It's up to Nintendo to stay focused on building/keeping that sort of momentum up and making sure it doesn't fall flat.
I don't think it's going to make them overtake the ps4 sales, and MS is well positioned to have much better sales too. So I still feel they will be stuck in 3rd overall... but the difference will be that it's a respectable 3rd if they do it right... not a "lol, just kill it already" 3rd.
Now if they really wanted to strike they would announce a price drop... preferably by dropping the tablet off the basic unit (and bumping its memory up to the delux models). But they could just decide to do a price cut without dropping it if they are still insistent on trying to push that thing as needed.
ok so i decided to tale the hype train and buy mario kart. and im not kidding you
bart smit SOLD OUT
intertoys SOLD OUT
media markt didnt go there but i heard they were sold out so i didnt even try.
so lucky me i called game mania in belgium and there was someone who cancelled his pre order. so me the lucky one bought it.
so what do i think of this game.
and im gonna be honest. i think mario kart 8 has a lot to thank for sonic all star cause some ideas were clearly taken from there.
allas!!!
the game is really good and smooth. but the commercials were clearly the reason for this massive hype. cause honestly its a good game.nothing more or less
just a good game.
this is my wiiu collection so far

wii U poised on the brink of success ...according to marketing director scott moffit
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/nin...paign=homepage
seeing is as they say believing
the fact that its a MARKETING director claiming this makes me a bit dubious since they love to put a spin on things
but maybe the wii U isnt one foot in the grave and with the other on a greased skateboard either
nintendo wont remove the gamepad according to moffit though
"As of March 31, Nintendo has sold 6.17 million Wii U consoles worldwide. The company expects to sell another 3.6 million systems by the end of its fiscal year on March 31, 2015."
thats a bit of a scale down from the we will sell 9 or 10 million wii U 's by 2013
or am i misremembering things ?
Honestly Nintendo's early projections were pretty daft and based on the lightning in a bottle success that was the original Wii. They've scaled back their expectations.
I'm not sure if Nintendo's E3 showing was really great (it was certainly energetic and optimistic), or if it's just the fact that Microsoft and Sony didn't have a whole lot to excite with. The only thing that really got me pumped from Sony was No Man's Sky but we'll likely see that on PC.
To me it felt like Nintendo was the only company there that still has a vested interest in home console gaming.
^ mostly because they dint have anything else to fall back on
for nintendo its gaming or death
No Man's Sky will be out on PC. It'll just be released first on PS4, apparently.
As for E3, I think the big bummer is that a lot of the games are slated for release next year rather than later this year. It seemed like everything was "sometime in 2015". For Nintendo in particular, that doesn't really bode well.
But 2015 should at least be exciting on the gaming front. The big games are coming out next year, SteamOS and Steam Machines are due, and there's the likelihood that we'll see the set top box market come to its own if and when Google announces Android TV and Apple finally pulls the trigger on opening a new Apple TV to development of third party apps (which would include games).
My short thought about E3 about Nintendo
