I like ghouls n ghosts, rambo 3, sonic chaos, double dragon, mickey mouse castle on sms, so what on mega drives little brother (sms) do you like better on sms than md ? Or whatever. I like Sonic 1 on md better than Sonic 1 on sms but I like SOR on sms better than SOR3 on md.
Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, Double Dragon and Castle of Illusion, I like those more on the SMS. Land of Illusion is the best of the illusion games IMO, even more than World of Illusion.
I'm so confused Castle of Illusion, Land of Illusion World of Illusion. I heard World sucked on md, but Castle on sms and md are classic.
Why would World of Illusion suck ?
World of Illusion is awesome! Specially in multiplayer.
Oh yeah, Double Dragon is a good one. I find Road Rash more impressive on the Master System, it looks virtually the same with a few less objects "scaling". Shadow Dance is a better conversion of the Arcade game, though I would say the Genesis version is the better game overall. Hang On is faster than Super Hang On on Genesis, unless I am mistaken. Oh here are some, I much prefer Galaxy Force on Master System sprite flicker and all and Monopoly on Master System.
SF2 on sms is on par with sf2 md graphically damn near imo, but sms sf2 control blows. I like r type on sms too. About Illusion sucking, I read article that said the last mickey md game sucked compared to earlier ones. ?
Oh yeah, Road Rash too, specially for the music. I really don't like the Road Rash music on the MD for some reason, the Amiga version has even worse music, that one is totally puke inducing. SMS though, pure bliss.

Thunderblade is another Rail Shooter I would consider a better effort on the Master System than its Genesis rendition. Barone told me to check out Super Monaco GP II on Master System, which means it is a great F1 game, I could not stand the Genesis version for its underwater motor and really generic feel.
Robocop versus Terminator just got added to my games to check list, thanks for that Kamahl.
I'm saying the graphics on sms sf2 are impressive, characters look like md version basically. Then again, they look good on another 8 bit system too, tg16.

In my Mega Everdrive, I have 2 folders for each system, sms, md and 32 x. 01 sms A-M folder, 02 sms N-Z folder, 03 genesis A-M, 04 gebesis N-z, 05 32X A-M, 06 N-Z. So they are perfectly organized on everdrive menu, I see so many videos where people try to organize folders but everdrive doesn't organize them correctly so I put numbers first in front of folders so now everythings organized right (oddball is MEGA o/s folder on bottom). Each folder contains 21 games (max line of text mega everdrive shows). I have 9 in my sms A-M folder and only 11 in my sms N-Z folder. I need help lol.

Yea that list is good, though I think R-Type should be ranked a little higher. Playing that game with FM, most impressive 8-bit experience yet.

You have to start them off really young. Like at 2 years old. That's what I did with my youngest son. I raised him on 2D goodness. He played a lot of the classic retro stuff when he was younger. So, it's possible.Quote:

BTW to answer the title question, Smurfs 2. It's a shame it's so rare, because it's a very fun (if frustrating) platformer with nice music. The Genesis/SNES game isn't nearly as engaging, IMHO. Smurfs 1 is basically a draw, both versions are fun.
There's also now a great homebrew version of MUSHA on the Master System!
Oh, I can't say that I have played the Master System or Genesis version (which I own) through, but in a brief play the Master System game didn't make my ears bleed and seemed competent. I've actually only played the NES game extensively, man is it ever ugly though. I need to try the Tengen MD game with my Everdrive sometime.
