For the past 3 days its all I've played now, just wanted to try some games out I found for cheap and can't put it down.
Anyone else a big game gear fan, or been on a big game gear kick lately?

Would love to play some Game Gear. All of my units need to be recapped though. Maybe I should buy myself some soldering equipment for Christmas.
The Magical Taruruto-kun shmupo is my "hidden gem" suggestion of the day.
I came to love the Game Gear after a streak of back to back exclussive RPGs. It's amazing games overall. Aladdin for the Game Gear was a sweet surprise (a Prince of Persia clone in all the right ways).
I got like 4 gamegears yet never feel the urge to play it, I blame the bad screen.
SMS has mostly the better versions...
The only benefits I can see from the GG versions is that the smaller resolution allows for the sprites to better fill the screen and that it has a bigger palette to pick colors from,
Sadly this doesn't really benefit from the screen being washed out most of the time.
Like the end of this year has been more about the Genesis for me, I was thinking of making next year about Sega's 8-bit side. I've done more with games for the Turbo, than I have SMS/GG. Christ, I don't even know the Sonic games...
I've been putting in some time with the GG as well lately.
Managed to score one of those dodgy chinese? knock-off multi-carts (super 56 in 1) at a yard sale for $1.
It's not too bad. Some of the versions of the games there are pretty decent.

Nah, the games havent aged well for me.
Most of the games haven't aged well, but the Sonic games are pretty much what you want to play on the system.
Tails' Adventure and Sonic Chaos in particular are great! I really liked Columns as a kid as well.
I like the Game Gear games but the screen is just hard to look at.
