Catch 22, have a ED and play VR 32 x but I would like this to play this in my other MD. But then I have to open package but it's crazy it's still shrink wrapped. So should I get for $15 and collect but play virtua racing 32 x on ed or buy this and open for my extra md, good deal $15 ?

I would. You get alot for what you pay for, the ROM, an SVP chip, and a friggen heat sink.
That's a great price! Buy it. Either shelve it and buy another for playing, or open this one and play it.
The value of these things is so much higher when they are sealed I'd feel bad opening that.
Vector, you should buy that sealed VR, sell it for profit and buy a CIB instead.
Carnavas, sometimes a game isn't worth much more sealed. There are a few common NOS games for Genesis and SNES, among other old systems. Genesis VR, even CIB, goes for about $10. I can't see a sealed copy going for much more than that.
Buy it and open it like it was meant to be. Collectors are emo neckbeards. Games were made to be played.
Open it, and don't look back.

I ask because I bought a sealed copy of Virtua Racing from them over nine years ago for $10. I was as similarly hyped as you were....until I tried the game. For some reason, it never went past the 3D Sega logo, no matter what Genesis I tried it on. And it WAS brand-new as it had that funky-fresh smell, immaculate cart, instruction manual and circa-1994 Sega poster. IIRC I threw everything but the poster (which I still have) away.
Is there a possibility that the SVP chips in VR carts die over tim, or was that just bad luck on my part?

Also I forgot about hang tab missing, I guess that ruins collector value of it ? Like I'm no collector, I play games to play them, but if this was worth something I'd definitely just collect this because it's rare imo to see vr shrink wrapped, especially a once $100 game after 20 years. And it's like the only svp game and basically oddball of md library so for that, I would just collect this one game.
So I guess since no hang tab, it's not worth as much even though it's shrink wrapped ? Because I was going to buy it then buy a loose cart of it, but maybe I should just buy this and open it but then I'm worried game might not work if chips die or whatever.

Virtua Racing is so inexpensive nowadays that you can buy multiple copies. I plan to do that. Aarzak's case sounds like a fluke, but it doesn't hurt to have backups!
If the hang tab is missing it must have been resealed. That sucks. As above said, the game is really cheap these days. I'd skip this and find a better deal, shouldn't be too difficult.
Why would anyone pay $13 for Kid Chameleon when for just $2 they can buy the superior Virtua Racing, they had to include a freakin heatsink on it just to absorb the heat put off by the secondary Blast Processor unit. Clearly the owner of that store does not know what he is doing.
