For me, it's hard to say. IDE have to say my favorite is probably to credits from sonic 3, but all of the sonic 3 multiplayer music is fantastic. They fit the levels perfectly! I also really like rusty ruins act 1 from 3D Blast. What are your favorites?

Hydrocity 2 and Ice Cap (either act works, but 1 is a bit better). I'd post the latter but if you seriously need a refresher on that one you can go right to hell. I always refuse to go super in those zones.
My only other definite favorites mostly come from Sonic CD:
Starlight Zone, Chemical Plant, Lava Reef 1, Volcano Valley 1, or Emerald Hill. Can't pick one atm.
The Sonic series is loaded with good music. It's hard to even pick anything out in particular.

My favorite stuff from the more modern Sonic is Hideki Naganuma's soundtrack for Sonic Rush.

Pretty much every track in Sonic 1. TBH, I don't really care for the music in any other Sonic game I've played.

I really love the music of Green Hill Zone, it's so damm well composed, and it instantly brings back all the good memories. Without its great soundtracks, Sonic games would not have been the same experience.
Oddly enough, I like the music of Sonic's underwater stages a lot - I can't get enough of Labyrinth Zone, I love Tidal Tempest (Present) from Sonic CD, and Aquatic Ruin Zone also holds up very well.
Of course it's Labyrith Zone.
In fact, I'll go hear it again right now.
