Ps4 bombing horribly in japan?

I do think japan seems very more rational in that they dont buy console based on hype but on games.

I know right, sounds like Sony should just pack it in and close up shop. Shit , two whole weeks and sales haven't picked up yet, time to just chaulke it up and start making dating sims for 3DS.

Dont know if sony could produce something interesting without hardware capable of mindblowing visuals, but I agree, datingsims would be a good start

I have little doubt the PS4 will be the best selling of the new home consoles in Japan. Now, what "best selling" is could be a pittance compared to the rest of the world market I'm sure. But given that the system isn't exactly looking for Japan for a sales boost, they likely don't really care how the overall market there performs so long as it's profitable enough to keep selling systems there.

There's also the fact that the PS4 doesn't have any gimmick to overcome the lack of games (only so many people are goin gto buy a PS4 for a new Yakuza game). The PS2 had DVD, the PS3 had blu-ray. Even then, it sold better then any other system that week. Its been 2 weeks. If its continuing to sell crappy in Japan after 6 months, then we can worry about and maybe make a preliminary call.

considering it already shifted 6 million units in the limited time its been on the market
i doubt sony will worry much if the ps4 moves in japan or not
