PC Engine DUO-R/RX component mod?

I've seen photos online of DUOs with component plugs on the back, is it possible to do a component mod? I have not been able to find anything about it. I was trying to work out if it is a straight mod from the HuChip or if it would need some kind of extra hardware. I can't imagine that the HuChip natively outputs component like the early SuFamis do, no matter how good an encoder it is. I am hoping I am wrong! If it is indeed possible, I would do it to my PCE+CD-ROM2 before going anywhere near my DUO-RX.

Whilst on the subject of NEC consoles, does the PC-FX have an RGB/component mod too? It already has an S-video plug in the back but RGB would be much better. It's a shame the PC-FX was such a sad joke though. I don't know if I'd be bothered to mod it.

Turbokon on PCEFX has a RGB -> Component board he sells for a reasonable price.

It's not the only option but has been used by many folks, I have one I plan on wiring off the RGB on my Genny to make it have component output.

Ahh cool, thanks for that. I figured that there must be some other PCB involved to get component. When I have spare money (ha!), I will look into it.
