Most Underwhelming Genesis Bosses

What are some of the most underwhelming boss fights in the Genesis library? I've seen the last boss of the Incredible Hulk, where he just stands there while you punch him and send him flying down the shaft.

I think that, despite as much love as I have for Crusader of Centy, it had the most underwhelming last boss ever, even easier than the previous battles throughout the game. Regardless of how you choose to face it, it is dead easy. But not easier than that giant monster heart you fight in the mountain that does absolutely nothing. Thus, pre-final boss battles can be lame. We usually expect the ending boss to be the most challenging though, so it sticks out in our minds.

I think the very last boss in Sol-Deace/Sol-Feace would be a pretty strong candidate -- roughly on a par with the Hulk boss.

Sonic CD's end boss is a bit uninspired and jumps straight to my mind, he always seemed like a standard Robotnik encouter. For the MD alone I'd have to say the Alien 3 bosses lacked variety and for that reason were underwhelming to me.

Ditto on Sonic CD. The pinball battle was better, if only for the fact that it was extremely annoying.

To be fair that heart is one of the most genius parts of the game. it's supposed to make you feel bad for killing it.

The most underwhelming boss ever is the mill boss in Puggsy. It goes beyond the genesis, it's Top 1 most underwhelming boss of all time.

The end bosses from Beyond Oasis and Phantasy Star IV. I wish they were more challenging.

This was discussed before, and my answer then was also the last boss of Vectorman 2. First one has a giant, mutated, radioactive robot in a tornado. Second one just a big insect.

I feel sorry for all the Mario World bosses except Bowser, but since this is about the MD I'll stay with Shadow Dancer's last boss.

There's a trick to every boss. Even games like Castlevania Bloodlines. Given the time, anyone can overcome them. I wouldn't consider that underwhelming.

But there are also inherently easy boss fights; the kind one can easily beat on their first try.

For me:
Sword of Vermilion - Final boss
Mortal Kombat - Goro and Shang Tsung
Desert Demolition - Entire game
Ariel: The Little Mermaid - final boss

I think they fucked up when they made that final level, they should have had the Leader give a speech about how
superior he is, then and only then the Hulk should be allowed to slap him.

That would have been much closer to the comics Leader character, who's always been more of a talker then a fighter.

Hahaha! I had to watch that twice to consider it real. That is the stupidest boss encounter I've ever seen!

I've always been disappointed by the bosses in Sonic games. Most are underwhelming in presence and too simple or easy to kill.

The last encounter with Robotnik in the first Sonic is a good example. The first boss in Sonic 2 sucks as well. You have to really be trying to lose.

The easiest Sonic boss of all time is the first one of the SMS game.
