That movie was the best, many great childhood memories!
I wont say rest in peace Bob, I'll say "ACT ON IN HEAVEN!"
Indeed. So sad :(
That's a shame, he was great in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and a few other movies. And who could forget him in the Super Mario Bros Super Show movie?
He retired from acting. Not many actors retire, most work until they drop dead even when sick.
I thought he retired because he was sick, though I don't believe it was pneumonia he retired because of.
Don't forget his role as Smee in Hook.
R.I.P.
Bob Hoskins was one cool cat. As a kid I may not have known his name but he was one of those familiar faces on the small and big screen.

Hmm... Was just contemplating picking up the NES game in a shop today.
I've always been a fan of Hoskins. Everyone remembers Roger Rabbit, but check out Mona Lisa. Of his later works, he plays a great heavy in Jet Li's Unleashed (or Danny the Dog, depending on where you are). Great character actor.
All the great actors of my childhood seem to be dying off. RIP, good Sir.
I always really enjoyed his 1993 silent comedy "The Big Freeze"

I always liked that Actor, he had a that grumpy yet endearing face. And... burn me if you like but.. I LIKED THE MARIO BROS MOVIE.
Both live action Marios are dead now. Plus Danny Wells' recent passing. At least John Leguizamo's still alive, so there's something.
