The dust can be cleaned off with a clean rag, the clothes can be put away, but it won't improve the room much. From what I can tell, space appears to be a premium. If that's the case, I wouldn't bother getting a CRT television. #1 The SONY KV-32HS420 is one heavy mofo. Moving a 32 inch into your space will be a bitch and #2 I don't think you've got to find a space for it. Screw that! The LCD Monitor is fine.
From what I can see you've got a mix mash of odd furniture to contend with: A wood grain TV stand, a wood grain shelving unit,, and a metal shelving unit that just looks odd. If I were you, at the very least I would get rid of all the MDF crap and replace it with matching furniture. You really don't need to spend too much to make the room look presentable and tidy. A few weeks ago, Canadian Tire was selling matte black 6 tiered shelving units for $14.99. Since I have an extensive gaming collection, I picked up 4. I really should have picked up a few more but they served it's purpose in my gaming room.
Basically, what you could do is pick up a few black matted shelves and line them across the wall. Depending on their width, you can set the TV atop these shelves. This will make the room look alot less cluttered and free up some space in the foreground. With the TV on top of the shelf, center the subwoofer and position the left and right speak on either side. Anything sitting in the bins, can be stored on the shelves.
Next, get rid of the bins! :p
Here's another idea you might like to consider. A few weeks ago, I popped into a local Dollarama and I found a bunch of fabric boxes with lids for $1.25. Although their a Dollar store item, they are no different than the boxes you might find in Home Sense, Walmart, Target, SuperStore, etc. I bought a bunch of these fabric boxes to house all of my consoles, DVDs, CDs old VHS tapes, knick-knacks, etc. All of these boxes are cheap but their quite sturdy and most importantly they serve their purpose. Because all of my furniture is black, they are inconspicuous. When my consoles are not in use, I store them in these black fabric boxes. They help keep the room organized and tidy. Most importantly they keep the dust away. In your case, it will help keep the dust off your PS3 and other consoles. Dust is bad for electronics. In my home, I have them placed under my flat screen television on either side of my receiver and other electronic devices.
With this type of design format, you can easily sweep the room without having to worry about any of the clutter you have to contend with currently and wiping the shelves will only take seconds. Look for deals but don't be in a rush to fix the aforementioned issues right away. It took me a little over 2 years to figure out the design configuration I was happy with. In the meantime, I would set some time aside this weekend and wipe the dust off your devices and furniture.
