It's not going to be a full fledged remake, just a reconstructed version with the original assets ripped that could be ported to multiple platforms. Whitehead calls himself "Friend to pixels and polys alike" and seems in tune enough with SEGA that he may consider it. We'd need to ask him if both he and in turn SEGA will consider it and how much the costs would be before we even begin to initiate a Kickstarter so a proper judgement can be made. I don't think the fact that it was coded for SEGA will make a difference with modern OSes for things like Steam, or even your standard Android platform, if you want it to be cross-platform. I still think there's a chance for this thing to get off the ground. No one has really inquired about it to the candidates mentioned, so like I said, we need to see how things could go.
