Saturn battery for the internal memory card

Since the battery inside is dead...well it has been for years, I use an action replay 4-1 which is quite handy actually. That said, I might sell such action replay and I was wondering....I often plug in and out my saturn for divers reasons, assuming I get a new battery for the memory card, will my games be saved even though the system has been unplugged for say 2 weeks?Or am I missing the point??

What is the longevity of such battery??

if you unplug the saturn without a battery in there the saves will be gone

If you turn the Saturn off without a good battery you'll loose your saves. It doesn't matter if it's plugged in or not.
