I've been reading here for years and been an off and on contributor since July, 2007. I can't believe how fast it has gone by.
Congratulations to everyone and especially to Melf for creating and fostering such an enthusiastic community.
I'm happy to hear the site will expand. Perhaps to solve the '16' thing you could have the banner change slightly when you click on say the Master System, Saturn or (please) Dreamcast. We still have a way to go with some Mega Drive titles but perhaps it is best to open up a new area after 10 years of work.
Congratulations on hitting the milestone Melf and crew! It brings me great joy just knowing that there is a community that still celebrates the console that put SEGA on the map! 25 years later and it's hard to believe that I am playing newly discovered titles on my original SEGA Genesis! Keep on trucking SEGA-16! Keep on trucking! :D

I really hope that it's Master System & Game Gear next. One cannot understand Sega as a video game company without having delved deep into the Master System's history.
Plus its games are every bit as great as the MDs.

Bodacious website with radical people! Much better than Sega Age. I've only been around for a year or so but I've enjoyed every bit of it. I really enjoy sites like this one because it gives me a chance to go back in time and relive the glory days of the best console EVER produced in the best ERA of gaming. Many, many thanks to the mods and all of those who have helped me over the past year. Keep rockin on SEGA-16!!!

Happy 10th anniversary to the only forum I can really call my own. I've joined others in the past six years I've spent here, but none get my attention and time like Sega-16. Something about this place keeps me coming back. I've seen a lot of good (and bad) people come and go and quite a few that stuck around. Perhaps the most important thing I've taken away from all of this is the discovery of a new world of gaming that I was largely ignorant to. If you asked me back in 2008 about my favorite MD games, I would've listed the cliche Sonics, Vectormans, and Golden Axes. I used to be all about the SNES, but my eyes have been opened to how overrated the console is and how strange its fans are. I've learned about, bought, and played so many games that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's because of this place that I knew what revisions to look for when buying a console. It's because of the fine folks here that I bought my Genesises, Sega CD, 32X, Saturns, and 3DO. My horizons expanded in a way that may never have had I not signed up.
Being in grad school with most of my friends busy moving on to other things, this place gave me a sort of company in what was a pretty lonely school year. So, thanks.
