"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Pyron again."
Thanks a lot!
Great work man, they look way better
Great work on these. Bloodlines was actually done by someone else years ago, I think I still have a rom with the hack, but can't find the thread now.
Oh there it is, nice. And yeah, I agree :D
Thanks to all the points donated by reputation and good feedback.
I'm happy and feeling of duty successful:D
you wont be feeling so good when these retro gamers lock you in a small basement with a half eaten snicker, a video of friends and half a can of diet coke and ask you to do every game every released on the megadrive or their sit and fart on your face while consuming chilli and beans! "remember to be this good takes ages" - sega 1990?
^...okay then
yeah that wasnt weird at all
Pyron, last night I played Golden Axe II from start to finish and it was awesome!
I've always criticized its graphics 'cause it was really ugly in some parts and clearly less consistent than the first Golden Axe's IMO. But now it actually looks like a proper sequel to the first game, with most of the enemies showing better shading than the first GA IMO, that heat haze effect in the cave stage, the PCM samples which don't cut the music anymore and the collision detection a bit more polished as well.
The third stage was really awful and now it looks quite good. The last stage (before the final boss) used to make my eyes bleed but now it's OK and I can actually distinguish the enemies from the walls, lol.
Hopefully you can do something like that for GAIII too.
Street Fighter II SCE with the green Blanka is also a relief to my eyes. His original oversaturated yellow-ish tones were annoying IMO and like Neovamp said, his original art has always been green, not yellow.
All in all it has been a superb contribution from you to the Mega Drive community, I'm enjoying these games a lot more now. Thanks a lot!
This is awesome! I'm gonna download these and put on my Everdrive and see if my friend sees any difference. I bet he won't :D.
*mandatory suggestion incoming*
With It Came from the Desert's physical release on the horizon, I think that's the most logical candidate, since the palettes in that game are rather generic. I'm sure Cinemaware would like it.
I agree, from what little I've seen in the game it uses few colors on the screen, the repetition of enemies is tremendous and has much to be improved. Since they will commercially launch the game today and has a team that will do this and they could care a little more polish these problems.
And of course, I'm a noob most would be happy to help in any way!
