I think the new version looks better and maybe it wouldn't be all that great to have the platform and fences in metallic tones since the skeletons are also grey-ish now.
All good, just the sky needs improving. (i.e. reducing the stark contrast between the blue tones)
this is darker than I can!

perfect.
Yeah, what Barone said, but doing it is pretty tough. The super orange look doesn't look all that great in the original. Usually the trick for this kind of thing is to only use oranges for highlights, but if you do that it'll interfere with the fire. Damn Konami.
I like it! It looks much more MD-ish than before. If Konami wanted Fire they should have used raster or s/h effects or something, not just paint everything orange.
You could try making the brightest shade yellow, the next one orange, and the last, shadowy shade, red, but what would that do to the pipes and everything?
I'd say it's fine as is though, the only other options would be red, which is the most likely shade pipes would turn, except metal usually starts melting when it gets that hot, blue, which is a weak flame, or white, which would indicate that it's hot enough that the playable character wouldn't survive on the heat alone. That and the pipes being white(or even silver) would look odd anyway.
i can left like the original, i dont know how do the heat thing well... if every color that color has to look like that orange will look horrible anyway in my opinion.
No, your version is fine. Looks great!
I agree that it's fine, you have a copper/bronze-ish color for the pistons(or whatever those are supposed to be under the flames) and as the dominant shading for the pipes, with a yellowish flame. That's a lot more realistic than orange piping.
I can left it high satureted
