I take it form my old goodgen 3.00 set
I probably used the [W] version myself, and it seems to run. I don't know if that's going to bring any issue or not, but at the same time, I doubt Stef used the [f1] version of Street Fighter II.

Trees look much better. Foreground grass and foliage looks much worse. Can you keep the green foreground and lose the green on the background trees? The people adjusting the game via Photoshop lead me to believe you can. They posted pictures, after all.
Looks like a low-color Genesis version of a colorful arcade game.
The sky is worse too, while the trees are better, the columns are too brownish. Everything else looks washed out.
It looks much better to me, in every way.
The original game already has a washed out look, only with strange colour choices (not so much the grass, but every other level it does). Now it's washed out with properly washed out colours as it should.
This isn't Ristar guys. It also has the advantage that the enemies are a lot more visible now.
I agree with Joe and Tor Landeel, the only thing that needs fixing is the green. The rest was fine as it was.
I thought the whole point of color hacks was to change the game for the better, not to make it worse in the attempt of bringing faithfullness.
^ you mean "realism", not "faithfulness" I assume ?
It Begins...
I think it looks alright too. If there's an issue, it's that the columns fail to stand out in that shade of grass. Even some of the shades in the sky are a lot more noticeable. For added effect, it'd be nice to see a pic of the dragon shaped dragon on the original green. I'd bet it doesn't stand out as much.
For all the bitching about the grass, am I seeing things, or does it look like the secondary color of the trees shares a shade with the grass? Which would mean this is the only way the trees could ever look good.
I personally like what he did with the sky color, it looks more realistic now.
But I agree with the grass complaints, but I also understand why he did that..
damn grass shares a palette entry with the 2nd tree color.
