Has The Punisher been mentioned yet ? That game definitely needs a color hack.

Just patch the ISO. If you have a CUE/BIN rip, patch the BIN.
You have to use the JP version of the game, though, so to play on a US SCD, you'd need to either change the region (ConvSCD is a program made for that purpose) or load a different BIOS using something like an Everdrive.
I don't know if Sunset Riders has been mentioned, but it sure needs a color hack. I think the game is fun and worth playing for the simple reason it's different to the Arcade and SNES version, but the color selection isn't very good. I really like how the final stage look though, the ending looks great too.
Thanks! Finally got the damn thing working. And why the japanese version?! U.S is best imo.
Been playing it a bit and so far.... i'm noticing the difference but, it just doesn't seem all that substantial. I think partly because i was already satisfied with the original's colors.
I don't get the hoopla over Hagger's changes either.
*sigh*
I'm not saying it wasn't a good effort. Its just not a very substantial change to the game's visuals, especially for those of us who were fine with the colors in the original release.
Want to make a hack that's a REAL improvement to the original? Tweak the attack speed to be more like it should be in the arcade. That would be awesome!! The attack speed is one of the few issues in an otherwise fantastic port.
All right, do not know where you're going but the trick or not.
The gameplay does not change anything and all strategies and tricks that are used in arcade works the same way in the SEGA-CD version.
Although visually not attack faster this does not alter the game. I say this with property because I played the arcade to exhaustion.
Well go back and play the arcade version again because you've obviously forgotten how much better and, ummm, free'er feeling the attacking was. It just feels right.
In the Sega CD version its more awkward with its delay and overall slowed speed which does effect gameplay. This hurts Guy the most i think because he has the most hits in his attack combo before a knockdown. So you have to alter your strategy a bit with him.
Look i love the Sega CD version to death. Back in the day when i got my Model 2, the first game i went for was that (1) lonely copy of Final Fight CD that i had been eying in the display case of a K-mart for quite a while. That thing must've been warming the case at that K-Mart for 6 months!! In retrospect I'm surprised it was still there after all that time. But when i was ready on that faithful day, there it was, waiting.
So i hate to say it but, it IS flawed in this regard.
This is the kind of crap which is really stupid and annoying.
- This thread is about color hacks. Try to read the fucking title and the OP prior bringing stupid complaints.
- If you don't know how to patch a Sega CD game, just fucking google it. After all, game patching requires a brain; if you have one, try to use it for a change.
- US version of Final Fight is censored and censorship sucks. If you didn't know it's censored, you suck.
- Negative feedback is really welcome and actually needed, but instead of writing like of a 5 year old, you should try to point what exactly can be improved, which stage, which part. Otherwise it's just unnecessary whining which doesn't contribute to improve anything.
To finish what I meant is that no matter what so fast you press the button when the combo hits the enemy continues at the same speed. And yes the arcade version is better, after all is the ARCADE.
If you are not happy with this port and the differences here you can do what you showed me, come back and play in the arcade and let this version for mortals like us. Be at peace.

Sorry for the offtopic but talking about Final Fight CD, there is a visual aspect that always bugged me about it, it's not the color, rather the animations. It seems like the animations from the weapons and the characters aren't "sychronized", they are slightly off despite having the same amount of frames from the Arcade. Is there a way to fix it?

Nope, just checked. Even with rapid fire cheat enabled, once started it still takes longer to end the combo in the Sega CD version than in the arcade. They are NOT the same. In heated areas with lots of enemy's this can and does pose a problem on occasion.
Sorry.
Wow. That obnoxious barrage of dialog successfully rewrote reality and not only removed all problems with the game but, also somehow made me out to be the "bad guy".
I am in awe of your wizardry sir. Imagine what other good you can do, and the people you can save!
Please sir, the world needs your help!
Tread carefully with such off-topic questions, sir. The fearsome Barone may use his magic on thee!
