The knight and the stage look a lot better, but in the above case I don't like the washed out colors of the twilight.. the water is indeed an improvement though!
MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!
The grass I raised one step, since the original uses many dark shades and you can barely tell the difference between them. but I can see what I can do.
Over blue background on the original uses the same tone of water and you can barely see anything, everything uses the same colors including the stars.
What about the sunset is really personal taste.
Again I will try to check some things, but it is important that you check the original before suggesting changes, unfortunately I can not post comparisons with original all the time, is a lot of work to do.
i need to know about that green part before the boss. Leave it as is or use the plumb white tone of the beginning of the stage?
Looks great, the best version so far.
Yep.
MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH better now. The original looked fugly as sin.
Buuut I'd put a bit more saturation in your version if possible (please, no where near the original levels just a bit more than yours).
This.
I like the way it is now.
I do not do anything else until you hold your hands and walk together to choose a solution = D
Mega maximum ultra sunset overdrive!

#3 (from left to right and top to botom) is the best one IMO. I just LOVED those tones and how the sun looks there; seems to be a proper sunset to me.
I actually like the low saturation one, 3 still looks a bit nuclear bomby to me.
5 is my favorite.
4 and 6 are fantastic!
Hahaha, seems everyone has different preferences Pyron, I'd say go for your favorite this time. All of them are ridiculously better than the original anyway. It's incredible how hard Konami failed at picking colours for this game -_-.
My favorite is the second #2
Cuz for me this game must be dark... the other ones is too happy!
beyond that immediately afterwards is night he fell very well with the scenery.
but let's wait if more people manifest = D
#5 is fine too IMO.
Man, we are just leechers here, it's your patch, you should get to have your preference. Stick to number 2, I'm changing my vote.
Yes guys, but I'm not an artist and sometimes can be mistaken,
I think for example the suggestions you gave to stage 2 was for the better and I really thought it was much better, and better than I expected.
So I think that this contribution and valuable feedback from you, but unfortunately sometimes you can not arrive at a consensus or please everyone.
Yep.
I'd go with 5.
I get where you're trying to come from with 2, but you could also have a peaceful scene that horrors have invaded, instead of every scene trying to be gothic. This game is more about exploring the European countryside, than the usual Castlevania game is.
The fifth is fantastic, the colors are perfectly balanced.
2 and 5 in big size side by side...
i can live with them maybe with full size make it easy to choose

Still gotta go with 5. It brings the colors out better, without the brightness of the original, and the water looks like a better reflective surface.
#5 is more voted and cited anyway, so i think is gonna be #5
Pyron, there is a little detail that I remembered that could like me see changed. The shading on the front giant columns of the golem-boss in second stage is over-bright. Is a little hard of explain for me so I dared to do a fast mock up for show what I'm talking about.
I could like better something on the lines of this for the colums:

What do you think?
Of course is just personal preference, but is a little silly detail that always bothered me from the original game for some reason.
i liked, i gonna test later ok ?
Great! thank you!
#2, 5 sucks.
No it doesn't. 5 is good. Looks like the sun is setting on a spooky night. #2 looks like too much haze from automobile pollution.
I prefer the third and the last one. The contrast between the sky and the clouds feel nice and the colours not so washed out. All are great IMO, except the first one which is too soft.
I made some modifications like you said and plus i make a new color for the golem...
near of ideia of original one with betther shades.
what you think about guys ?

The golem looks even better IMO: Great work pyron!
Respect to the columns I like the new colour that you choosen. However I was thinking about ride out of the over-illumination in the columns:
(I modified a little your new version for the columns for show you what Im talking about)

As I said is just personal preference. Your version looks very good in any case.
the lighting shaders of the columns is shared with others elements on the background, change it destroy others things, so must be like that, i cant change it.
Edit: I just tested it and it was not bad, so I left as suggested. The tone is so clear that they just did not change the result I wanted.
Now lets go to stage 3
italy lol very lol nes style
Thanks again for consider my suggestion pyron.
I cant wait for see what do you will do for stage 3!

Yes, they are less bright and blurry after rezise, in native resolution looks ok.
i do that to help in comparisons, is just a reference for you guys see the progress.
In the end.. each monitor / tv show a very different image from my experience here.
But to work i use my dell ultrasharp with high colors fidelity,
the way I do I adjust my TV the results are quite close to what i see on the console
so I can have a idea of the reality.
These are awesome color hacks you are doing here, Pyron, specially both Golden Axe color hacks and also what you are doing now with Castlevania Bloodlines. I actually liked a lot the old hacks done by RedAngel to the same games and which were left incomplete (only the first stages of both games), so imagine my enthusiast to have the full games properly recolored with such a good taste.
I'll be keeping an eye on this and feedbacking color choices too like the rest. ;)
By the way, another game which has an original arcade reference and screams for better color choices is definitely this one:
