I've never changed that blue and I see no difference between the current version and the previous one. What changes in the picture is the frame of this gear which has a cool animation.
The problem is that it uses some color of character pallete or enemy and i cant change it.

I really need help with this skull, suggestions, and testing of photoshop friends are welcome.

I gotta give it to V2, the outlines aren't as visible(even compared to the original), which makes the gears, as well as the smaller chains, look a lot better.

You could try your usual grey tone, for the armor I'm not sure, a copper tone would look best but that will blend a bit with the background. Still, If the skeleton is grey I don't think it'll be a problem.

Yep.
Maybe "military" tones for the armor would be best given the stage... Since the helmet is kinda light brown now, maybe a military green would be good for the armor?

I like the blue armored skeletons better on their own, but green works better for making them stand out against the background. Plus the green makes them look like the ninja skeletons in Dracula X.

Green armor > Purple armor.

It's kind of weird, I think the armor may need a brighter shade in order to stand out. Maybe either looks better in motions than in stills.

I think that'll work. It's the way they use the lightest shade of the bones to simulate a shine in the armor that makes the others not stand out as well.

AFAIK, it's the palace of Versailles in the background and I think it's very bizarre painted in blue. I think it should be more like in the last screenshot (yeah, consistency was broken here once again), cream/gold-ish colored.
That flower could be a bit more saturated and the green tones a bit darker and with better shading (as you usually do).
The foreground foliage is probably sharing palette with the palace... If so, maybe something like dark cream tones could work (eu estou pensando em bege mesmo, tipo folhagem seca, não sei), IDK.

Here, again, the palace should be gold-ish/cream.
The sky could use shades of dark purple instead of black and super dark blue.
The statues and the parts using the same tones of them could use those same tones you had used in other stages to replace the pure grey-ish tones.
The liquid could be more red-ish to represent blooooooooooood better.
And the skeletons as you have done instead of that ridiculous NES red.

This one is less fucked up as it seems... The gold should look more like gold though.
The floor and other rose-ish parts should probably be more wine-ish (like you did previously).
The green creatures could be using darker green tones. And the walls (all of them) could be using some very light colors (cream tones maybe).

Again, here the palace should be less green-ish and more gold-ish.
The sky could be dark purple/blue.
The building could use some brighter tones and maybe something more grey-ish would look better, IDK.
The green parts could be a bit more like pure green and less water green-ish like they are IMO.
The enemy clothes could use some more blue-ish tones (if the sky is purple).

The impression I get is that these stages that these changes colors in the backgrounds is to simulate the transition from day.The scenarios that are long and almost everyone ends up happening in the case of the palace in the first part I think he has this stain just by giving the impression that is illuminated by the moonlight.

Of course. Actually, I had planned to make some sort of panel for each game (kinda like the SFII but a bit better) during the past weekend, but I got a flu. :(
It also sucks that I haven't managed to setup an old PC at my bedroom in São Paulo, so no PC after work - this is really boring.

Anyway, I'll edit it now.

I interpreted the strange colours in Bloodlines as a demonic taint on the landscape, twisting it like in a nightmare. That's why it's inconsistent from screen to screen and sometimes nonsensical. Seemed like an anime thing to me which goes along with the change in art style from Castlevania IV. So while I like most of these I think the vibe is too different from the original to be just a colour improvement hack, but it's a cool alternate take on the game's setting. Anyway, it's great to be able to follow the project step by step like this. :)

It should be noted that they can use whatever IPS patcher they want, and possibly whichever version of the rom they want, as long as they use the checksum fixer when needed.

Following your suggestions I made the changes and i loved the result.
The grasses in the foreground I have to figure out how to resolve since the palette does not use the scenario colors.... * konami screwing me always ....

The red skulls sprite is a disaster, and I can not get a better red than the one in photo, but on the big screen you can see the details and veins now.

Can't blame ya, but who knows? Maybe these will inspire others to look into doing more of these.

As for the latest batch, if possible, a brighter shade on the skeletons might stand out more, similar to how it is in the original. I don't think they're going to work with a darker color, while the background is golden.

Yep. Even if it's shared with something in that screen, it would probably be less strange using white or grey instead.

I really hate Konami and their retarded choices. There's no way I leave this grass beuty... why these bastards have not used the palette of grass? why?

I found the enemy from where the blue grass was removed and the most I can do is this garbage below.

About the red skull as I said could not improve on the original idea. So I decided to change the idea and thought it was perfect and macabre.
So I will not change again. I hope you understand the problem with grass, only someone with a skill above my to fix it by reprogramming the game to use another palette.

That's perfect! They stand out better, and it's like you found a way to make them more gruesome, which fits perfectly as a Genesis/Mega Drive game, along with the bleeding zombies in stage 1.

This is wrong.
Depending on the ROM version the patch will change addresses which may correspond to different things in the ROM file and it will introduce glitches or completely break the game instead of improve it.

Well, at least it got you to make a note ;).

The issue with the enemy is that it seems brighter, on top of the stage sporting a brighter color.
