Yeah, even though it's even brighter, the gold color on the armor helps more than the blue did.
Versailles palace (?) should realistically have a blue or purple tint and the sky be lighter if the building itself is that light.

The direction taken for the last pages has pretty much been making sense of the original's bizarre colour choices so... yes?
In the picture you provided the palace is neither blue nor purple though; I might be color blind then.
I believe he means some sort of shading effect which is very difficult to obtain due to the limited color count we have here.
The way the palace is represented now in Pyron's hack is more than enough for me.
Indeed used darker tones than the original tone. The blue background in the original is correct, it is only very thorough for my taste.
This stage in france is one of the best in the game and could even leave it as it used to,
but I think the changes I have made were cool and not feeling lost in general.
The sky has no changing or make clear, sorry.

I was referring to the parts that were not lit up by lamps, a white surface is generally dark blue at late dusk/early night time. Just a thought.

I loved the original bug also. The new one blends with the background. I could suggest at most only minor color changes for the new bug for make it fit better with the background. Or leave as original. However, the new background looks as an improvement. All other changes also are great so far IMO.
Edit: In a second sight I suggest just leave the main body yellow as original (But keeping the changes of wings, legs etc, as you did it in your hack)
The wings, especially the outside edge, are shaded better, but the main body is the issue. Unless you want to change the inner wing/leg color, you're going to need a brighter body color.

maxxfarras version is my favorite, followed by your latest, followed by the original.
everyone like the original, no problem to me, you leave the body like everyone like.
Change the background is hard cuz i have the folow the darker tones, and the buildings uses the same pallete of the ground so i dont have much options here.
Anything is better than blue-green with purple inner wings. The brown was pretty good, I thought, maybe a lighter shade of that, if the orange still bothers you.
