That sounds crazy, but it's a pretty cool project.
Won't that take forever, or have you found a way to port existing code or something?

That's nice. That makes me wonder if 3 or 4 player support would be a possibility.
Its not a problem, the way thats i constructed tha game I can put all characters and enemys on the same time on screen,
in the same way thats i already done with Shinobi.
The real problem is the sprite limit. The arcade assets is much bigger and detailed than the snes or mega drive.
So its a big challenge put the two players + the screen full of enemys
Keep the great work my friend!
Wow! Incredible! This already shows more effort than Konami put into their port.

Amazing stuff, Pyron. This deserves its own thread.
One thing I always thought looked bad on the SNES version were the explosions, and they're awesome in your version.
Please keep going Pyron, what you guys are doing with this port is unbelievable. Can't wait to try it.
thanks, I hope thats we could advance with this. Thank for the feedback guys
Like others have said, this is very impressive. I have always loved Sunset Riders and can't wait to check it this one out!
Hello, it's a new project that I'm working on with Tryphon
The main goal is to restore the missing details from the arcade, ofc is impossible to make everything like the CPS1 board but we improved the general look of the game
also, the sprites was redrawn, keeping the same art style that matches my style of pixel art.
Actually, I prefer what the SEGA did here and for me is better than the original in a lot of ways, I hope that's you enjoy guys,
its the first stage:

You are unstoppable! Thanks!
Thanks Amaru!!!
About Hiryu sprite and others, I like what sega does here, I think that looks better than the arcade for me
but in some sprite they reduced too much the details so I will try to restore the missing details
also, I bring back some censored content from the previous build of the game
Tryphon Is helping me a lot fixing bugs and making possible new features in the game
thank you for the feedback
Maybe off-topic but I just wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate Pyron for creating the hacks and thank GatorCountry (from nextgenroms) for making the compilation:

Turns out the DC can be another way to enjoy great Genesis games we still love. ;)
Thanks, Pyron, for all of your hacks and for your upcoming projects. Most of them have replaced the original games with your versions, with one notable exception: Golden Axe II. I'm not a fan of the altered colors in that one. The beast in the first level even has its head that gets mixed up with the ground color because the colors are too close, which is something the original game does not suffer from. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, though!
Looking forward to the upgraded Strider.
I wonder, are you still working on the Sunset Riders rewrite?
Quick and short video showing the first stage of Strider Falcon Edition alongside Arcade and PCE. It is still under development so some improvements will be implemented in the future

A new video, showing a work of mine from a long time ago that considerably improves the Port of Darius II for the Mega Drive, now you can still enjoy it with the MSU-MD and MD+ to have a CD soundtrack..

In this case, the BG is disabled, what I did was create extra tiles to give an illusion of the BG. I just used 3 tiles for that.
The ideal solution was creating a proper BG on Layer B but it goes above of my skills. Tryphon is helping me but I don't know if we could implement it without breaking the game. Is very sensitive to changes, but its not the final version, lets see what we can achieve.
The episode just to show and highlight the project from Rheo Gamer that's surprised everyone for the huge achievement that's is try make Real Bout FFS run on Mega Drive

wow that looks amazing!
what is this dark magic? the colors!
