The skeletons from the top as much as I will change to look like part of the background because they use the same palette = D
The big one that attacking you during stage I can change.
I personally like they goldish to create a better contrast with the other parts of the scenario and also to be clearly different from the skeleton enemies.
In terms of historic context, the buildings in most of Castlevania games should be using gold (especially the Palace of Versailles) and not silver/steel/iron in their ornaments AFAIK. In the specific case of stage 1, I think it's supposed to be loosely based on Bran Castle, which does have goldish details; like this:

Pyron, if you still don't have screenshots for each stage of Bloodlines, here you can find several ones:

I just tried the Outrun hack last night, it's amazing! So much closer to the arcade now. Can anyone give me a hint as to which SF2 CE rom I need to use? I applied the patch and ran the checksum fixer but I still get a redscreen when using the Everdrive. I figure it's either the rom file or the IPS patching program I'm using.
You are very productive, you have modified many games in a few days. I didn't finished any game.
About Contra HC, I would change almost everything in terms of color. They are very generic and the same greys and blacks and sometimes horrible purples.
Sparkter would need also several changes here and there.
I remember taking lots of screenshots of sprites, planes, all together, then do the changes in Paint Shop Pro 7 and editing the rom in a hex editor. How do you do your hacks? There is a tool called Palette of Rage or something like that that looks very promising.
With the feedback I changed the colors of two enemies and think it really got better, what do you think guys?

Another thing is that the tower of bones that breathe fire I have not changed, do you think needs to change that enemy?
I have no ability to image editors, you can see that on my youtube channel the arts are ugly compared to all the rest. [ https://www.youtube.com/user/GabrielPyron ]
What I do is simple, I dump the memory of the game of the scene I want. I view those values in hex editor and try to find similarities in the game and I change the color I want.
I have to test and make multiple copies and multiple reference files and go testing until you find a result that is good.
I end up breaking the game in the process but it was the way I adapted well to make this work, I find it more annoying than conventional but it works = D
Stage 2 - unfortunately I can not change the first part of this stage no water for using the effects and highlight shadow palette

I prefer the original boss in this case, old bronze seems better then the golden color of the hack.

Help me with the feedback from you so that I can proceed to the next stage.

What I donīt like of this stage is that they made the background too blue or too Green, it should be more white (it is white marble). I would do a sunset in the horizon in the part of the big statue (whith orange and purple). You have improved the boss stage a lot but I think the boss should look more rocky (more browns). I like the new knights.
Hmm...
I agree with NeoVamp on the original bronze, I think it actually looks better on the stage as well as the boss.
The statue I'm 50/50 on. The original green looked fine, reminiscent of an obvious actual statue in real life, but if the colors were going to be changed, you did pick some good shades.
Lastly, I think I agree with the others on stage 2's boss, if only because that's how it looks at the end(before Death), when it's supposed to look different.
I realized that people are divided and then put one side by side with the bigger picture for you better look the details.
I did several tests to try to improve, but I change as the guys think best within the possibilities only ask you to choose a path to follow.

The Boss if you look closely is a jumble and a mess .. they tried to use dark shades and you see green there, Rocky Blue, violet and stuff .. on the small screen passes knocked over on the big screen is clear. And as it is a golem I tried to follow dark shades pulled to the same side, the glow shader I can change to something more shiny and blue.
I don't like the old golems or the new ones. No idea how to fix them.
Maybe make the first golem silver/copper and the second gold? At least that would give them a theme.
I softened the ground, as I think it is night if I make it very clear loses some sense but I can try. About sunset on the statue would not feeling well and I would lose the feeling of progression in the game. You start with the sunset in the first part of the stage, then turns to night, and in the end begins to clear again. If I could change the first part I could do differently, but as unable ... is difficult.
I dunno I really like what I see :-)
You mean these knights, a golem is made out of rock or mud. =P
I like the silver / gold idea, but it sounds like a lot of work.
Well technically they're animated armors. If there's a ghost moving them you can consider them knights, if they were given "life" by golem type magic then they're golems (and yes, you can have golems made of iron).
Whatever they actually are, yes, I mean them :p.
EDIT: I forgot that their arms aren't connected. They're not golems you're right.
Great Job pyron! I love the new knights (specially the redish one) and the new giant statue head. Overall the fix looks like a big improvement over the original.
About feedback, I agree at some points with red angel. For me, the little statues and the ground are too much blueish. Maybe can you make the statues and the ground grey with a little touch of blue? Maybe that could keep the night feel. Also the original redish dark shadow bettween the two twin statues dont fit well in my opinion, maybe could you change it for black instead if possible?
Nice guys, i gonna try change the knight armor enemy and do something diferent on the floor.
the best shade of white that caught, what do you think?

Nice! Very Nice!
Wow! Now the knight looks even better, also it fit better with the background IMO. And the statues... they look perfect! Absolutely beautiful.
I have not contented myself in not change the first part of the second stage...
and finally i could change some things, please tell me what you think honestly..

else ... I need to know more about the part of the giant statue and about that green part.
Can I go back as it was in the original, leave it as is or leave everything in the white pattern of this first part.
I like me the muddy color water in the reflection also. Also I prefer the golem of the hack over the old one.
At this point, all changes that you did on stage 2 are true improvements IMHO. So definitively you should not revert any change back as original.
The only little things that I can think you could change are:
1. The pure blue tone of water and the pure blue tones on the far background on the statues level (Change it for other kind of blue)
2.the redish shadow between the twin statues. I suggest change it for a similar blueish/white tone that you used for the statues on your hack
( dont know if possible)
3.Maybe a darker green tone for the pasture under the statues.
Other than that minor changes I can not think in other new changes.
I agree! Top marks for the latest round of changes! :ok:
In the original version, it looks like a nuclear bomb was dropped somewhere in Transylvania! Did Dracula survive? :p
The hacked version uses much nicer tones!
I lalso like the color choice for the large knight! :D
Very impressive work thus far Pyron!
Much better :) The giant knight is perfect and the floor and statues look more real. Perhaps the light green of the grass is too light?
Also I would try to lighten the blues (or try other colors) of the far background. There are even stars in the sky but they are hard to distinguish.
About the sunset I would try an intermediate solution among the original and the hack version. The hack version looks a bit washed out IMO.
