Just for reference, in the picture posted on the NG forum there is visible overspray of the white onto the vents. This was not a white-out job, just a poor spray paint job.

Why dont you prime it before spraying it with paint? Sand prime then spray , like a car. You can do some awesome colors with car paint.

I hate to admit it but kits is right about the gloss.
It makes it look sticky to me.
But then again anything is better than the dreaded cottage cheese sega.
