P.T. - despite its terrible endgame puzzle which im still stuck in - is the best thing ive played on my PS4 yet. cannot wait.

I'm not a big fan of survival horror but I hope this game goes well and I hope these two put together the most epic Pacific Rim game ever after that. :lol:

Wow, I'm lost for words. Is this exclusive to PS4? If so, I need one. Right now.
It's funny, I was reading NeoGAF on my phone in the library just when "P.T." went viral, and forum buzz was off the charts with like a dozen of people starting streams and tons of posts on how terrifying it was. Due to my phone's terrible internet connection, I couldn't really watch any videos and/or streams, though.
When I got home, someone had already put up a walkthrough and I can't really say it radiated the pants-shittingy dreadful horror I was hoping for. Catching that glimpse of Silent Hill sans fog and that somewhat douchey-looking protagonist at the end also reminded me of failed past attempts to revive the series.
Still, if this is actually good, I will definitely buy whatever system it's on.
to be fair, sorting it out yourself the first night with no walkthrough was really some scary shit - the endgame loop was maddening, though
Watched the Playthru on Youtube of the teaser demo - full of shitty jump scares. Silent Hill is meant to be psychological horror, not a theme park amusement. Disappointed.
SH1 had a few jump scares as well, to be fair - playing through it, i don't think P.T. was defined by those moments so much as the constant unnerving nature of the atmosphere it built, as well as the absolute lack of understanding about what's going on around you, both of which were big elements in the psych horror Team Silent built.
mother of god!!! this game is not explainable in words. seriously nothing scares me, no movies, no games nothing. but this...... me and my girlfriend were playing and after a while I was so tired from fear that I just wanted to stop playing.
this game is so much I doubt I'll ever be able to play the full game. incredible revolutionary gaming experience this is
I enjoyed the first..never played any others but i did try the one on PSP but very little. the movie was great adaptation of the game. When did the series go down?

As a huge Silent Hill fan going back to the original game, I really hope the upcoming title can bring back some of the old magic but stand on its own feet as a great horror experience at the same time. If you haven't seen it, I recommend checking out the new trailer released within the last day or two. Whether the events of the trailer have much to do with the finished game or not, it's a fantastically atmospheric trailer either way.
