Smash Bros 3DS Demo

So, who was able to get the new Smash Bros 3DS demo? I managed to get one from a friend of mine, and I am impressed at how good it looks and plays for a portable system. I don't play a whole lot of new video games anymore (These days my playing time is usually regulated to lots of Mario Party with friends) but I think this might be a day 1 pickup for me, and if the demo is reflective at all of the WiiU version, I might have to buy a system for that and Mario Kart alone. Anyone else get the demo? What do you guys think?

I got sent a code from Nintendo and was given 3 to share with friends. I still have one to give out if anyone's interested.

I played it. Not impressed. But then again keep in mind that I've never found Smash Bros fun. I don't always have scores of people over to play videogames with me and online gaming is not an interest of mine. And this one sucks as a single player game especially since they took out the good parts where it wasn't a free for all chaos-fest but more like a platformer. Why people go apeshit about this game is beyond me. This version in particular sucks pretty bad because the buttons on the 3DS aren't much bigger than a typical grain of sand. My hands are way too big, manly and American.

Does it run at a true 60fps? That made the 3DS Super Street Fighter 4 a real let-down for me, that it runs at 30fps or so.

Does anyone still have a code?

That runs at 60fps if you disable the 3D in the options menu, apparently.

Can't you just turn the 3D slider off?

Just add a demo to the eShop rather than making a code necessary.

The Demo will be on the eShop for everyone next week. The code is simply giving early access to Club Nintendo Platinum members.

Been platinum for years. No code in my box.

Still though, why make it difficult?

Were you platinum this year? It resets every year at July.

And they're really not making it difficult, they're simply saying "The demo will be available on the 19th. Hey Platinum Members, you're entered into a drawing to get early access before everyone else." It's not difficult, it's simply thanking your customers.

Probably because Smash Bros has always had analog sensitive attacks.

I never got an early access code either and I've always had platinum status at Club Nintendo.

Been platinum for years. Earthbound was my "free" gift of choice this year.

Yes, Nintendo is making it difficult. Just release a demo on day X for everyone to enjoy 20 times like they do with other demos.
