LOL, women! Am I right, folks? Eh? Ehhhh?
But seriously, they're not going to decide whether or not to release the game based on a bonus costume. They could just take it out.

Nintendo can't really afford not to localize that game, can they? It looks like after the end of this year they'll probably be the only company publishing games for the Wii U, and the 2015 release schedule for the system is looking pretty dismal at the moment. They're going to need all the games they can get and it seems like it wouldn't cost them too much to bring it over. There's a decent niche market for horror games, and ZombiU sold pretty well. It would make for a good October 2015 release I think.
Anyway, if they do bring it over I hope they leave that costume in, but it's Nintendo so I doubt they will.
It seems like Sega has already written the system off. Alien Isolation is coming out on everything but the Wii U.
As for Ubisoft, hmmm.... I guess you could make the argument that yearly installments of Just Dance technically do count as being games. :p
Warner, yeah, you're right, they'll probably crank out another Lego game by next year.
The point still stands though. That's just two or three other companies that will only be providing extremely minimal support with a couple of games aimed at children. Third-parties aren't going to be releasing their AAA titles on the Wii U anymore, so Nintendo is going to have to pick up the slack.
While that's true for that game, I think I remember seeing that even after the 3 game deal ended Sega's next big Sonic title was due out in 2015 and was going to be on PS4/Xbone and Wii U.
Yeah I know, it's in the first post. Those are just some good deals on brand new systems for people who don't want refurbished systems. And when you subtract the cost of 3D World from the one bundle the price is almost the same as what getting the refurbished system would cost with shipping.
Just bumping this to mention that the Refurbished Wii U's on Nintendo's online store are now sold out.
I knew for a fact Sega would release the actual big 'AAA' Sonic on all platforms.
I thought they were staying with Nintendo beyond the 3-game deal.
Sonic is a big franchise still (I have no idea how), unless they hated money or something Sega we're bound to bring it back to other console owners at some point. Unless Nintendo paid them a shit ton of money for exclusivity, but i'm not sure Nintendo have that kind of money at the minute.
Mock my words! Nice Eggcorn there ;)
Along with:
For all intensive purposes
To ball one's eyes out
Reek havoc
Skin milk
To take with a grain assault
etc etc
Eggcorns are simply the best! Some other good ones are "deep-seeded" (it's deep-seated), "when all is set and done" (when all is said and done), and "whole heartily" (wholeheartedly). Language Log keeps a record of a number of them.
Do not buy the PDP wired fight pad for the Wii U. They are junk. I got one today and didn't even try to use it. It felt like crap, or something AT Games would sell. The shoulder buttons were junk, the sticks felt sloppy, and it had that overall cheap plastic feel that we all know. Somehow they even screwed up the perfect feel of the original GC controllers. I'm either going to try and take mine back to the store or get Nintendo to give me a refund. I can't believe they put their name on this turd.

I don't think that's the one Nintendo made. The ones Nintendo made were these:

Though if you want one that's a Classic Controller, you probably want this one by HORI instead:

Yeah that one was made by PDP, but it's fully endorsed by Nintendo. Their logo and box art were all over it. There are also princess Peach and Yoshi versions. Hori makes good stuff, but I'll probably just by a wii classic controller.
Having a Wiimote dongle on your lap while trying to play with a Classic Controller feels 'weird'. Like a man just resting his tool on you.
I wouldn't know. I've never had a man rest his tool on me.
I have no idea how to make it levitate. Maybe I need an official Nintendo-brand side table.
Asking for a friend, does the Smash Bros Gamecube adapter work on Mario Kart 8?
My google searches just resulted in news articles that say no, then yes, then no again with no decent answers.
How about this cubicle?

Genesis does what Ninten doo - doo.
LOL that would make for a great art installation.
So I know Sonic Boom is definitely not going on the recommended game list, but has anyone tried out Watch Dogs? If so what were your thoughts on it? Is it worth recommending if you have a Wii U?
Also did we get any new Wii U owners over Black Friday and Cyber Monday? I know there were quite a few good deals going around.
And if anyone's interested, I've written a review for Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 here:

Game really blows, independent of platform.
The hacking thing is kinda neat and different but the main character sticks way too close to his unlikeable douchebag thing and the story around him is just too pathetic to even care about, the game is basically just a second-rate GTA knockoff.
I tried putting the Wii dongle in my pocket and it feels a lot better playing with a Classic Controller now. It is like having a happy mouse in there.
Although now I am angry Super Smash Bros keeps changing the controls back to default.
I haven't tried it but I can tonight and tell you if it works. My guess is going to be no because I'd assume games need program support for it, but I could be wrong. I did try it in vWii mode and it didn't seem to work. Though homebrew devs have got it working in NintenDon't for GC compatibility so who knows.
Yeah, I got that impression when it came out. So I guess we wont recommend that one either.
On an unrelated note, GBA Fire Emblem released today on Virtual Console:
Whoa....just when i was finally warming up to Nintendo again after a 15+ year boycott, and considering getting the Wii U. Is it true that Wii U can't play DVDs or Blu-Ray? Are they f**king serious? This so-called modern game system can't be used to play movies. WTF.
And before anyone starts up with crap like "Well you should already have a DVD or Blu-ray player by now, so you shouldn't need it for that".
Actually....no. No i do NOT own a standalone DVD or Blu-Ray player, and i've been wanting one too lately. I was hoping these would be sweet extras that came with buying $300+ "modern" game system....
So after forking over a little over $300 for a Wii U, i'd need to also spend $60-$70 on a decent DVD/BD player. And have my set-up more cluttered than it needed to be, with both Wii U and disc player.
You see?? Its these subtle, yet FUNDAMENTAL out-of-touch points about today's Nintendo which is why the company is in the state that its in currently. I'm tempted to give up and not even look at the Wii U again simply out of p[rincicpal.
Its bad enough this thing is going to miss out on the majority of great 3rd party titles but, its not even a CONVENIENT device for the consumer.
Sorry for ranting, this just pisses me off. WTF nintendo
Why did you boycott them in the first place?
I think it's ridiculous that the Wii U can't play CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays when it is perfectly capable of doing so and the fact that it's competition can do it and has been doing it for years (Though I heard that the PS4 can't play audio CDs, yet it can play Blu-rays).
Correct, the Wii U is a gaming system first. It does have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime on it though. Official BluRay and DVD Playback requires licensing agreements with Sony, Phillips, etc. which costs money, which would raise the price of the system. Honestly just buy a BluRay player. You can get them pretty cheap these days. For what it's worth the PS4 can't even play Audio CDs.
The Wii U can play DVDs via the Homebrew Channel just like the Wii could though.
