Hey gang. In the past year, I've struck up a friendship with the guys over at Nintendo Life. They've long been supporters of my Sega gaming channel "The Sega Channel". At some point recently, I was asked to join the Nintendo Life team and create a new series for them. The result is "I ♥ Virtual Console", a series that will dive into Virtual Console wish list titles as well as titles already released. The first episode I've produced is for the game Monster Party, which has somewhat of a "cult following" with NES fans.

I'm sorry, are you referring to the way I narrated this episode or the reason I took this offer with Nintendo Life?

To be clear, I'm still very much dedicated to "Sega Channel". Nintendo Life has just opened up an opportunity for me to expose my work to more people. I'm a lover of all the classic consoles at heart, so this was a natural move for me.

Monster Party?! Funny, just yesterday I was reading the latest issue of Retro Gamer (hrmm, it wasn't Retro Games, it was the other UK retro magazine ...edit2, and in fact it is the exact text/story as printed in the first post here), and a collector being interviewed was talking about how he found one of the only known copies of the cancelled Famicom version "Parody World: Monster Party".

Excellent video btw, great production, and not too long, not too short. Keep up the good work!

Congrats! NL's DamienMcFerran probably knows more about Sega than the staff at some of the biggest Sega websites combined.

And Monster Party was a nice choice for a game to cover :)

Congratulations man! That's a big deal! A ton of people read the stuff at Nintendo Life. I'm at work and can't watch the video at the moment but I definitely will.

Im sorry, my fault. I saw your video sega versus "bank panic x wild gunman", i was guessing you published it taking in count your work in Nintendo Life, so i imagined that your discourse changed. But you published later ghostbusters versus which your commentary is pro sms.

So is this going to be limited to titles that have been on Nintendo consoles/handhelds? Will there be non-North American releases discussed?

There really are no limits to what I could cover in this series. That's what initially intrigued me. It's basically set up to cover current games on the Virtual Console and games that we wish would come to the virtual console. This includes games on systems that haven't even reached the VC. I could review Bubsy on Atari Jaguar if I wanted to (And I do lol)!
