No, no! I only have 258 CIB genesis games ;)
671 is the total of my collection (including every console I own... NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, 32x, etc)

Yeah,my problem is that I'll buy 2 or 3 filler games, and put off the more expensive stuff. But that 2 or 3 games adds up. I could have ALL the sought after games already, instead I have most of them, but am missing key titles. I don't own PSIII &PSIV for f*cks sake... What kinda collector am I?! I've been trying to only focus on key titles recently. I'm getting Pirates Gold next paycheck... I hope that's gonna be worth it. My new focus is wrapping up RPG's. I need ps3, ps4, shining force 1, rings of power, New Horizons, and kings bounty.
I've noticed a lot of people do this. If you want something that's pricey I am of the mindset to set sights on it, research, then be ready to pull the trigger as soon as something within your parameters shows up.
Have I overpaid? Sure. But I've underpaid and avoided rising prices much more often. My long haul goal would probably be to get a copy of every US Sega game ever made, but I'm pretty sure that'll never. But, at least it gives me something to work towards. I'm looking at Dreamcast stuff now though since it seems to be a bit less crazy pricing wise compared to everything else.
Holy crap, look how well it moves with 4 players...Uggg. I love the Genesis...
Yep, Gauntlet IV rocks. Tengen gets extra props for the arrange modes in this and Slap Fight MD. Love my arrange modes, and it's unusual to have them appear in 16-bit games especially.
I'd say that I have two sides to my acquisition goals... 1) Collecting, and 2) Recapturing the experience of Sega Genesis.
My most immediate collecting goal is to acquire what I once had... a Canadian (Irwin Toys) Sega Genesis console, VA6 motherboard variation, complete & like new in minty packaging. Also, minty copies of some of the games I once had. I'm off to an okay start... found a like new Canadian VA6.5 console, complete in decent Canadian (Irwin Toys) packaging. Picked up a few of the game I want in complete & near minty condition.
In the meanwhile, I am also picking up loose carts for games that I just want to play again, or missed the first time around.
