At the same time I had cannibalized a SNES Ballz 3D DSP-1 chip to my Super Everdrive (in order to run Super Mario Kart and other DSP games), I tested this mode 7 rom in my Mega Everdrive... I got to say I'm very impressed. I even think it can beat the SNES effect in future builds.
Gasega is doing serious justice to the Mega Drive! If Genesis didn't do this before, now it does.
Combine this with groovy techno music and you'll get outstanding racing game demo.

Hi all, I've been looking sprites for use in a possible "sonic drift 3d" (or "Super sonic kart" or Sonic Kart Racing "?) To Gen/Md, and I've got a lot on "spriters-resource. com ", based on the SMK Snes

All sprites I downloaded were made by someone called "NICKtendo DS", so all the credit would be for him.
I selected the following characters: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Amy, Metal Sonic, Shadow and Mighty.
I made some changes to colors of some of them to adapt it for two palettes (four characters each), plus I have to use 4 colors for the animation of the tires (switch between two colors) (for Eggman not, because it does not have tire, so for one of two color palettes, 3 colors for the animation will be used), I think it looks good. What do you think ?:

The cars that don't match up with the color scheme of the driver look the best to me. Robotnik, Mighty, and Pyron's posted Amy and Knuckles being some of the better looking ones. I guess because the characters pop out more, by not looking like an extension of their vehicle.
How difficult would be to port the engine for the 32X like sonicretro already did to Sonic 1 and 2?
Would be cool to implement some more complex objects and achieve a game with the graphic level similar to this one:

That's more of a saturn level engine than a 32X level engine...
You wouldn't port this engine you'd develop one specifically tailored to the 32x! This engine is specifically for the MD's hardware :)
